‘Trans’ Congressman Introduced By Biological Gender in House
During a session of the U.S. House of Representatives, Rep. Mary Miller (R-IL) made headlines when she introduced Rep. Sarah McBride (D-DE) as “the gentleman from Delaware.” McBride, a biological male who identifies as a “transgender woman,” was elected to Congress in 2024 and has since pushed a progressive agenda.
The moment took place as McBride was preparing to give a speech on the House floor. Miller, serving as the session’s presiding officer, did not acknowledge McBride’s “transgender identity,” instead referring to him by his biological sex, as reported by the Daily Wire.

Miller later doubled down on her decision, taking to social media to clarify her stance. “Today on the House Floor, I refused to deny biological reality. President Trump restored biological truth in the Federal Government, and I refuse to perpetuate the lie that gender is open to our interpretation. It is not,” Miller wrote.
McBride, who was delivering his first speech on the House floor, largely ignored the introduction and instead focused on attacking conservative policies. He accused Republicans of working against Americans and claimed to be fighting for the people of Delaware.
The incident comes amid a broader push by conservatives to restore biological definitions of sex within government institutions. House Republicans have taken several steps in recent months to prevent transgender ideology from influencing
Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) recently introduced a resolution that would prohibit men who identify as women from using female bathrooms in the U.S. Capitol and other government buildings. House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) has also implemented new restroom policies requiring lawmakers and staff to use facilities that align with their biological sex.
McBride, responding to the controversy, attempted to downplay the situation. “I’m not here to fight about bathrooms. I’m here to fight for Delawareans and to bring down costs facing families,” he said. However, his record suggests otherwise, as he has been a vocal advocate for far-left gender policies.
Conservative lawmakers quickly rallied behind Miller’s decision to acknowledge biological reality. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) praised Miller, saying, “I’m proud of my friend Mary Miller for refusing to recognize and speak the lie. God will not be mocked.”
The exchange highlights the ongoing battle between conservatives and progressives over gender ideology. While Democrats continue to push for laws that would force Americans to affirm transgender identities, Republicans are fighting to ensure that government policies are based on truth and science.
The controversy over McBride’s introduction is only the latest in a series of clashes between Republicans and the left on gender issues. As more states pass laws protecting women’s spaces and limiting gender ideology in schools, the issue remains at the forefront of the national debate.
Many conservatives see McBride’s election as a sign of the increasing radicalism within the Democratic Party. Despite being elected to serve the people of Delaware, McBride has consistently focused on pushing transgender activism at the national level.
With Republicans in control of the House, efforts to restore traditional values in government continue. As debates over gender and biology intensify, conservatives remain firm in their commitment to standing for truth.
The moment on the House floor serves as a reminder that the battle over gender ideology is far from over. For many Americans, Miller’s decision to speak the truth was a refreshing stand in an era of political correctness.
