High-Ranking Dem Arrested on Heinous Charges

High-Ranking Dem Arrested on Child Porn Charges

A high-ranking official in the Florida Democratic Party has been arrested and charged with transportation of child sex abuse material.

Matthew Inman, 39, of Orlando, was taken into custody after an undercover operation revealed his disturbing involvement in the possession and distribution of child pornography.

The New York Post reported that according to authorities, Inman, who served as the treasurer of the Orange County Democratic Party and president of the nonprofit group Rainbow Democrats, had been receiving and saving videos of child sexual abuse material on his phone between August and October of last year.

The videos, which depicted adults sexually assaulting young children, were allegedly shared with an undercover officer posing as the father of a 9-year-old boy.

In a chilling conversation, Inman expressed interest in meeting and sexually assaulting the purported child, and even sent child sex abuse material videos to the undercover officer.

When the FBI arrived at his home with a warrant to search for evidence, Inman attempted to delete the incriminating videos from his phone and hid in the attic of his house in a desperate bid to evade justice.

The news has sent shockwaves through the community, with the Rainbow Democrats group releasing a statement expressing their shock and horror at the allegations.

“We offer our condolences to any victims of child sexual abuse and hope justice will be served to the fullest extent of the law,” the group said, while also suspending Inman from his role in the nonprofit.

Inman is currently being held in the Seminole County Jail without bond, and faces a minimum penalty of five years and a maximum of 20 years in federal prison if convicted.

The Post reported that the US Attorney’s Office, Middle District of Florida, has confirmed the charges, and the investigation is ongoing.

As the community grapples with the enormity of Inman’s alleged crimes, many are left wondering how someone in a position of power and trust could be capable of such heinous acts.

TTOA reported earlier this month on 25-year-old Bogalusa, Louisiana Mayor Tyrin Truong being arrested following an extensive drug trafficking investigation that uncovered links to illegal firearms and prostitution.

The arrest stems from a “comprehensive investigation” launched in April 2024 by the Louisiana State Police Narcotics/Violent Crime Task Force, targeting a sophisticated drug trafficking operation that utilized social media platforms for distribution and payment processing.

District Attorney Collin Sims emphasized the continuing nature of the investigation, stating, “We are going to continue to invest time and resources into helping the citizens of Bogalusa.”

“We are not finished.”

Three suspects have been charged with conspiracy to distribute a Schedule I controlled substance, TTOA previously outlined.

Another faces an additional charge of distribution of a Schedule II controlled substance.

The arrests come at a critical time for Louisiana, which reported 2,456 drug-involved deaths in 2023, highlighting the severity of the state’s ongoing battle against illegal drug trafficking.
