X Thrilled After Trump Dances With Swords, Wife Melania as First Family Dazzles at Three Inaugural Balls in One Night to Celebrate MAGA’s Return: ‘The Best Thing You’ll Watch’
In a spectacular display of presidential pageantry, President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump celebrated their return to the White House by attending three inaugural balls, marking a historic night of celebration following his 2025 inauguration.
The grand evening demonstrated the extensive support for the new administration, with Trump himself declaring, “We needed three because we have such support.”
In one of many notable moments, the president garnered massive social media attention yet again after performing the Trump dance while holding swords.
Daily Mail reported that the evening began at the military-focused Commander in Chief Ball, where the first lady showcased a custom-designed white and black dress by Hervé Pierre, who previously created her 2017 inaugural gown.
The presidential couple’s first dance was set to The Battle Hymn of the Republic, performed by the United States Marine Band, before being joined by Vice President J.D. Vance and his wife Usha.
The ball, dedicated to all six branches of the military, drew thousands of attendees, including service members in their dress uniforms.
During the military ball, Trump addressed service members, highlighting recent military recruitment success.
“Recruitment numbers are through the roof for the last two months,” he declared to the thousands in attendance.
The president even engaged in a lighthearted moment with troops stationed in South Korea via video link, joking about Kim Jong Un, whom he met with three times during his first term in pursuit of a denuclearization deal.
In a symbolic gesture, Trump used a ceremonial sword to cut an Air Force One-themed cake, designed to resemble his previous vision for the presidential aircraft that President Joe Biden had canceled.
“I’m going to take a piece home with me,” Trump remarked, before dancing with the swords onstage, prompting Vice President Vance to quip, “The Secret Service is getting very nervous.”
Daily Mail further noted that the celebration continued at the Liberty Ball, also held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, where the entire Trump family joined the festivities.
The event featured a notable appearance by Tiffany Trump, who displayed her baby bump, while Donald Trump Jr. danced with his children, including daughter Chloe and Kai, who had previously spoken at the Republican National Convention.
Trump Jr. navigated the evening alongside new girlfriend Bettina Anderson, while sharing the stage with ex-fiancee and future Greek ambassador Kimberly Guilfoyle.
Musical entertainment was abundant throughout the evening, with performances by Rascal Flatts, Billy Ray Cyrus, Jason Aldean and The Village People, who performed their MAGA classic “YMCA” at multiple events.
The Trump family shared intimate moments during slow dances to “Unchained Melody,” with Ivanka Trump dancing with Jared Kushner and Lara Trump with Eric.
The night culminated at the Starlight Ball at Union Station, where an impressive array of celebrities gathered, including Caitlyn Jenner, Vince Vaughn, Jake and Logan Paul and Mike Tyson.
A viral moment occurred when Jake Paul reportedly put Tyson on his back before the Trumps’ arrival.

Daily Mail revealed that the first family concluded their evening dancing to Frank Sinatra’s “I Did It My Way,” a favorite tune of the president.
The outlet further noted that the media presence was notable, particularly at the Commander in Chief ball, where former Fox weekend anchor and Trump’s Secretary of Defense pick Pete Hegseth drew cheers from the crowd and received a warm embrace from Fox News’ Sean Hannity.
Conservative icons Jon Voight and Kid Rock were also present, with the latter lighting up a cigar in the smoke-free venue and carrying what appeared to be whisky while joining Hannity on set.
