Biden Issues Ominous Warnings About ‘Ultra-Wealthy People’ in Farewell Speech as Trump 2.0 Prepares White House Takeover

President Joe Biden delivered his last speech as Commander-in-Chief in an emotionally charged farewell address from the Oval Office.

He issued stark warnings about the concentration of power among ultra-wealthy individuals and raised alarms about the future of American democracy.

Speaking from behind the historic Resolute Desk on Wednesday night, the 82-year-old president drew parallels between current power dynamics and the “robber barons” of the early 20th century.

His address specifically targeted the growing influence of billionaire tech leaders, including Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg, who recently visited Mar-a-Lago.

“Today, an oligarchy is taking shape in America of extreme wealth, power and influence that threatens our entire democracy,” Biden declared, addressing the nation for the final time after a 50-year political career.

He emphasized the “dangerous consequences if their abuse of power is left unchecked.”

The president highlighted several accomplishments from his four-year term, including a recently brokered Gaza ceasefire deal.

Daily Mail reported that his family, including First Lady Jill Biden, Hunter Biden and various grandchildren, gathered in the Oval Office alongside Vice President Kamala Harris and Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff for the historic moment.

In a gesture that appeared to counter reports of tension, the first lady reached for Harris’s hand during Biden’s acknowledgment of his vice president.

Biden’s speech took direct aim at what he termed the “tech industrial complex,” criticizing social media platforms’ retreat from fact-checking practices.

The president specifically called out Facebook’s recent policy changes, with Zuckerberg scheduled to attend and co-host events at Trump’s upcoming inauguration.

Addressing environmental concerns, Biden pointed to ongoing wildfires in Los Angeles as evidence of climate challenges facing the nation.

“Powerful forces want to wield their unchecked influence to eliminate the steps we’ve taken to tackle the climate crisis, to serve their own interests for power and profit,” he warned.

In a series of unexpected policy proposals, Biden called for 18-year term limits on Supreme Court justices and advocated for banning congressional stock trading.

Daily Mail noted that the president’s term was marked by periods of high inflation that contributed to his election loss.

His presidency faced significant challenges, including the controversial withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2021 and his son Hunter’s presidential pardon.

Former President Barack Obama and former Speaker Nancy Pelosi offered strong words of support following the address, per the outlet.

Obama praised Biden’s pandemic response and economic recovery efforts, while Pelosi dubbed him “one of the most consequential presidents in American history.”

The president leaves office with historically low approval ratings, with a recent CNN poll showing only 36 percent of adults approve of his performance.

Despite this, Biden vowed to remain active in public life, stating, “I’m not going to be out of sight or out of mind.”

Daily Mail added that following Trump’s inauguration on Monday, the Bidens will head to California’s Santa Ynez region, where they previously vacationed in August.

Their final presidential flight will no longer carry the Air Force One designation, instead operating as a Special Mission.
