Influencer Smacked With Insanely Massive Bill After Husband’s Shocking Death

Influencer Candice Miller Faces Financial Turmoil After Husband’s Tragic Death

Candice Miller, an Instagram influencer, finds herself in the middle of a challenging financial situation following the suicide of her husband, Brandon Miller, in July 2024. Brandon, a prominent New York real estate developer, reportedly left behind a massive debt totaling $33.6 million, along with only $8,000 in his bank account at the time of his death, The New York Times reported on Friday.

This revelation has placed Candice in a precarious position as she navigates the complexities of her late husband’s financial legacy.

“She’s over in New York,” said an insider, per Page Six. “She’s moving to Miami before school starts and has enrolled her kids in a Miami school.”

Candice currently resides in a luxurious $10 million beachfront condominium in Miami Beach, which is owned by an LLC associated with Alexander von Furstenberg, son of renowned fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg. While she has received $15 million from her husband’s life insurance policies, she still faces significant debts, including substantial loans from banks such as BMO Bank and UBS Bank, The New York Post reported.

Following Brandon’s passing, Candice committed to paying approximately $4 million to settle a lawsuit tied to one of these unpaid loans, despite protestations regarding her obligation in another lawsuit for $194,881.89 concerning alleged unpaid rent for their former high-end Park Avenue apartment, The Times reported.

The financial troubles extend to their Hamptons property, where multiple mortgages amassed nearly $12 million. This home was recently listed for sale at $15.5 million and sold shortly after Brandon’s death.

“A suicide note indicated he had killed himself while his wife and children were on vacation on Italy’s Amalfi Coast, according to a Suffolk County law enforcement official. He said Mr. Miller wrote that a business deal he had hoped would ease the family’s financial strain had collapsed,” The Times reported.

Candice has expressed her shock regarding the extent of her husband’s financial issues, admitting to friends that she did not closely manage or monitor their finances, per The Post.

The circumstances surrounding their financial plight have left her grappling with not only personal grief but also professional challenges as she engages with lawyers to help disentangle her husband’s debts.
