Armed Triple Homicide Suspect Tried to Murder Nick Fuentes at Home: Report
A triple-murder suspect met a deadly fate Wednesday night during what appears to be an attempted assassination of controversial media personality Nick Fuentes at his Chicago-area residence.
24-year-old John Lyons arrived at Fuentes’ Berwyn home heavily armed with a pistol, crossbow and incendiary devices, according to police reports and security footage.
Ring camera video captured the suspect, wearing a motorcycle helmet, calling out “Yo, Nick” while Fuentes was conducting a livestream inside his residence.
The Berwyn Police Department responded to reports of an armed individual in the area, the Washington Examiner reported.
The outlet added that during the ensuing pursuit, Lyons fled on foot and forcibly entered another residence, where he killed two dogs.
The situation reached its climax when Lyons engaged in a shootout with law enforcement, resulting in his death after officers returned fire.
No police officers sustained injuries during the incident.
Fuentes, whose home address had recently been exposed online, took to X to recount the harrowing experience.
“Last night an armed killer made an attempt on my life at my home, which was recently doxed on this platform,” he posted. “I believe he intended to kill me. He is now dead. I am okay!”
The incident has forced Fuentes to reconsider his living situation.
He announced plans to relocate and has implemented 24-hour security measures to ensure his safety.
The media personality has requested donations from supporters to offset these unexpected security costs.
“While heartbreaking, it could have been so unimaginably worse,” Fuentes said in a subsequent post. “God have mercy.”
“Doxing is not a game,” he continued. “This nihilistic lynch mob behavior must end before anyone else is killed.”
This attempted attack comes during a period of increased public attention on Fuentes, who recently sparked controversy with his social media post mocking the abortion-rights slogan “my body, my choice.”
He is currently facing separate legal challenges related to an incident where he allegedly pepper-sprayed a woman who appeared at his residence, TTOA previously reported.
Prior to the confrontation in Berwyn, Lyons was already wanted for a triple homicide committed earlier that day in Mahomet, Illinois.
The Washington Examiner noted that the Illinois State Police Public Integrity Task Force has now taken charge of the investigation and continues their active investigation into the series of violent events that culminated in the suspect’s death.
The Daily Wire’s Matt Walsh spoke out about the dangers of doxxing as the story first broke.
“If this is true it proves why doxing is not a troll or a joke but essentially an act of attempted murder. People do this because they very explicitly want to get the target killed,” Walsh said.
“It should be treated as a criminal offense and those who participate in doxxing campaigns should be held liable when this inevitably happens.”
After seeing the Wednesday night footage Fuentes’ residence, Walsh added: “Wow… There’s no other conceivable reason to post someone’s home address online. It should be illegal.”
