Unhinged ‘Karen’ Gets Placed on ‘No Fly List’ After Racist Rant Against Indian-American Family Goes Viral

A disturbing incident unfolded on a United Airlines shuttle bus at Los Angeles International Airport, where a woman launched into a racist tirade against an Indian-American family. The event, captured on video on Nov. 24, has led to the woman being placed on United Airlines’ no-fly list.

Celebrated wedding photographer Pervez Taufiq was traveling with his children when the unidentified woman began her verbal assault. The video shows the woman hurling racist slurs and making derogatory comments about Indian people while raising her middle fingers towards Taufiq.

“Your family is from India, you have no respect for the rules, you think you can push everyone… that’s what you think you are,” the woman can be heard saying in the footage, per the Daily Mail.

“Indian people are crazy? You told me to have some more curry, right?” Taufiq asked her.

“I’m going to record your f*cking tandoori a**… your tandoori stinky a**,” the woman said.

Taufiq, remaining calm throughout the ordeal, attempted to reason with the woman. He explained that he was born in America, which the woman disagreed with.

“You’re not American,’ she insisted.”’Not originally no, you’re from f*ckingg India.”

She later added, “No you weren’t, that’s not on your passport.”

Taufiq, who was born in Boston, then offered to show the unhinged woman his passport.

As the situation intensified, other passengers on the shuttle bus intervened, expressing their disapproval of the woman’s behavior. One passenger can be heard telling the woman to “shut up,” while another suggests she should be removed from the bus.

United Airlines staff eventually stepped in, escorting the woman off the shuttle bus. The company later confirmed that the woman has been placed on their no-fly list, effectively banning her from future travel with the airline.

In an interview, Taufiq shared his disbelief about the incident.

“It’s one of those things you feel like an out-of-body experience with,” he told the New York Post on Sunday.

“We’ve seen things like that on the internet, we just never thought we’d be in one.”

He told the outlet that he first encountered the woman during the flight while checking on his 11-year-old son, who was seated a few rows ahead. As he approached his son, who was sitting in the same row as the woman, she became agitated. She tried to brush past him and asked if she could get to her seat.

“I was like, ‘Oh, yeah, sorry’ and then I moved to the side and she got to her seat and that was it,” said Taufiq.

After the flight, his son informed him that the woman had reportedly asked if he was Indian and what country he was from. She also threatened to speak to his parents.

During the shuttle ride, Taufiq claimed the woman told his children to be quiet while the family was conversing, resulting in the altercation.

Taufiq speculated that the woman was drunk before and after the flight and said that her behavior towards his children was unacceptable.
