Ex-Dem Donor Stirs Controversy With Bold Remarks on Barron Trump and Kamala Harris

Ex-Democratic Megadonor Claims Barron Trump is Smarter Than Kamala Harris and Her Entire Campaign

Former Democratic megadonor John Morgan has sparked controversy by claiming that Barron Trump, the 18-year-old son of President-elect Donald Trump, demonstrated superior campaign strategy and insight than Vice President Kamala Harris’ team.

Morgan, speaking on Fox News, praised the younger Trump for advising his father to appear on popular podcasts, a move he believes was crucial in securing victory over Harris

“It turns out that Barron Trump, who looks like a runway model, was telling his father, ‘you need to go on podcasts, you need to go on Joe Rogan,’” Morgan told Fox News host Kayleigh McEnany on Wednesday.

Morgan also highlighted that Trump arrived three hours late to one of his campaign rallies, a delay attributed to his appearance on the podcast.

He criticized the Harris campaign for not leveraging similar media opportunities, particularly Joe Rogan’s podcast, which boasts a massive following among young male listeners.

The impact of this strategy became evident in the viewership numbers. Trump’s October 25 appearance on “The Joe Rogan Experience” garnered over 50 million views on YouTube. In contrast, Harris’s interview on the popular “Call Her Daddy” podcast, uploaded on October 6, failed to reach 1 million views.

“Barron Trump is a lot smarter than everybody in the Harris [campaign],” said Morgan. “The progressives didn’t want to go on Joe Rogan.”

The younger Trump has been credited with playing a key role in his father’s historic election victory, persuading him to appear on podcasts in an effort to connect with younger voters.

Morgan, who transitioned from the Democratic Party to become an Independent in 2018, didn’t hold back in his criticism of Harris. He accused her campaign of financial mismanagement, citing reports of a $2 billion expenditure over approximately 100 days.

“She should go away and never, ever come back,” he said, per Times of India. “She spent almost $2 billion. They’re raising money this week to pay off the debt. If you can’t run your campaign, you damn sure can’t run the country.”

The former donor also pointed out the Harris campaign’s difficulty in connecting with certain voter groups. While Harris prioritized appealing to women and voters of color, she reportedly overlooked opportunities to engage with young men—a significant portion of the electorate.

Continuing his critique, Morgan described Harris as a lackluster imitation of former President Barack Obama, despite his extensive campaigning on her behalf. He also emphasized Obama’s hesitancy in endorsing her, along with other prominent Democrats, such as former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

“[Harris] thinks she’s Obama. She goes to Hawaii since Obama goes to Hawaii,” he said. “She started talking like Obama, imitating Obama.”

“She is not Barack Obama. She has no talent. She can never run for president again.”

He also shared his opposition to Harris being the Democratic presidential nominee after President Joe Biden ended his re-election campaign.

“She was going to be tethered to Biden no matter what,” Morgan said of Harris.
