X Asks Same Question About Elon Musk After Clips of Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Thanksgiving Gathering Go Viral
In a festive Thanksgiving gathering at Mar-a-Lago, President-elect Donald Trump hosted a star-studded celebration featuring family, celebrities and his close ally Elon Musk.
The holiday bash brought together Trump’s family members, including son Barron, wife Melania, daughter Tiffany, son Eric and Eric’s wife Lara, along with Musk and his mother Maye.
As footage of the star-studded night went viral online, people on social media started to jokingly ask one another the same question: Did Trump “adopt” Musk?
Daily Mail reported that the event was marked by lighthearted moments, with attendees enjoying themselves and participating in impromptu performances.
Trump and Musk were seen dancing to the Village People’s “YMCA,” much to the amusement of Barron Trump, who watched with a bemused expression.
“Elon really has become an adopted Trump family member,” one X user quipped.
Another posted, “Elon loves his new dad. Trump definitely adopted him.”
Sylvester Stallone, a recent fixture at the Mar-a-Lago venue, was also in attendance.
Resist the Mainstream previously reported that Stallone had praised Trump, comparing him to the Founding Fathers and calling him “the second George Washington” at an earlier gathering.
Musk’s presence at Mar-a-Lago has become a regular occurrence, with social media users noting his seemingly permanent status.
Daily Mail noted that Trump himself has joked about Musk’s constant presence, remarking at a House Republican conference meeting, “Elon won’t go home. I can’t get rid of him. Until I don’t like him.”
The businessman has become deeply involved in Trump’s political circle, playing a significant role in the 2024 election campaign.
Trump’s granddaughter Kai, for has been actively posting behind-the-scenes details of her life, has even affectionately dubbed Musk “Uncle Elon,” according to the Daily Mail.
Trump recently announced that Musk will co-lead a new Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) alongside 2024 GOP presidential primary candidate Vivek Ramaswamy.
The administration aims to reduce bureaucratic regulations, with Musk describing it as potentially “The Manhattan Project” of their time.
Musk’s involvement extends beyond policy discussions.
He has joined Trump on calls with world leaders and participated in the administration’s transition team, weighing in on staffing decisions.
Daily Mail reported that the pair have been seen together at various events, including a SpaceX Starship launch in Texas and a UFC event in New York City.
Their collaboration reached a musical peak when they joined opera singer Chris Macchio on stage to perform “God Bless America” at a Mar-a-Lago party following the election.
This performance came after a meeting with President Joe Biden in Washington, DC.
Despite the close relationship, some critics have raised concerns about potential conflicts of interest, particularly given Musk’s companies’ previous interactions with government agencies.
Trump’s Thanksgiving event, and his posts about the beloved holiday on Truth Social, all went viral on social media on Thursday.
