Trump Warns Fox News ‘Totally Lost its Way,’ Creating a ‘Very Negative Effect on the Election’
President Donald Trump has unleashed a barrage of criticism against Fox News, accusing the network of losing its way and potentially influencing the upcoming presidential election.
Trump took to his social media platform, Truth Social, to voice his displeasure with the network’s coverage, particularly focusing on what he perceives as an imbalance in representation.
The former president expressed frustration over the airtime given to Democratic voices, specifically calling out Ian Sams, Senior Advisor to Vice President Kamala Harris.
“FoxNews has totally lost its way!” Trump declared, setting the tone for his subsequent comments.
He questioned the amount of time Sams spends on Fox News, noting his recent appearance on Neil Cavuto’s show, which Trump claimed is the network’s lowest-rated program.
“How much time does Ian Sams, Senior Advisor to Lyin’ Kamala Harris, spend on FoxNews?”
Trump didn’t stop at criticizing Sams, extending his disapproval to other Fox News personalities. He referred to Eric Shawn and Arthel Neville as “real ‘beauties,’” sarcastically suggesting they fall short of the journalistic standards set by the legendary Walter Cronkite.
The former president’s critique extended beyond individual personalities to encompass what he sees as a broader issue with the network’s programming choices.
Trump argued that Fox News gives disproportionate airtime to “Harris Radical Left Democrat mouthpieces,” listing several commentators by name, including Richard Fowler and Patrick Murphy.
According to Trump, this perceived imbalance in coverage “has a very negative effect on the Election.”
He expressed frustration that his own interviews on the network, such as one with Maria Bartiromo, are overshadowed by what he characterizes as “one-sided, negative Democrats” throughout the day.
In a separate post, Trump turned his attention to Fox News’ decision to grant an interview to Vice President Kamala Harris.
The interview, scheduled to be conducted by Bret Baier on Wednesday, drew sharp criticism from the former president.
Trump described Baier as “Fair & Balanced,” but suggested he might be “very soft to those on the ‘cocktail circuit’ Left.”
Trump’s comments reflect a growing tension between the former president and the network that was once seen as largely sympathetic to his administration.
He lamented that Fox has “grown so weak and soft on the Democrats,” to the point where he believes “it all doesn’t matter anymore.”
The former president’s critique comes at a crucial time in the lead-up to the 2024 election.
Trump hinted at the importance of the upcoming vote, urging people to understand the situation “on November 5th, and Early Voting,” closing with his signature campaign slogan, “MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
This latest outburst from Trump highlights the complex relationship between political figures and media outlets, raising questions about the role of news networks in shaping public opinion during election cycles.
As the 2024 presidential race heats up, the interplay between politicians, media and voters is likely to remain a contentious issue.
