Garth Brooks Breaks Silence After Being Accused of Heinous Act

Garth Brooks Breaks Silence After Being Accused of Raping Makeup Artist Who Worked for His Wife

Grammy-winning country music superstar Garth Brooks has found himself at the center of an explosive legal battle.

A former makeup artist, who worked for both Brooks and his wife Trisha Yearwood, has filed a lawsuit accusing the singer of sexual assault and battery.

Brooks has since broken his silence.

In a statement to Daily Mail, Brooks said, “For the last two months, I have been hassled to no end with threats, lies, and tragic tales of what my future would be if I did not write a check for many millions of dollars.”

“Hush money, no matter how much or how little, is still hush money,” he added.

“In my mind, that means I am admitting to behavior I am incapable of — ugly acts no human should ever do to another.”

The outlet reported that the lawsuit, filed anonymously in a California state court on Thursday, alleges that Brooks, 62, subjected the plaintiff to a series of inappropriate behaviors culminating in a violent sexual assault during a trip to Los Angeles in May 2019.

The accuser, identified only as “Jane Roe,” claims the incident occurred while they were attending a Grammy event honoring R&B singer Sam Moore.

The plaintiff alleges that Brooks booked a single hotel suite for both of them and refused her request for separate accommodations, according to documents obtained by Daily Mail.

The lawsuit then details a horrifying account of the alleged assault, claiming Brooks appeared nude in the doorway, forcibly grabbed the plaintiff and proceeded to rape her.

The makeup artist’s legal team asserts that their client had been working for Yearwood since 1999 and began working for Brooks in 2017.

The lawsuit alleges a pattern of inappropriate behavior leading up to the alleged assault, including sexually explicit text messages, discussions of sexual fantasies and incidents of indecent exposure.

In a twist to the unfolding drama, it has come to light that Brooks had previously taken preemptive legal action.

CNN reported that the country star anonymously filed a federal court document in Mississippi, seeking to suppress the accusations before they became public.

In this filing, Brooks vehemently denied the allegations, describing them as “false” and potentially damaging to his reputation and career.

The plaintiff’s legal team has fired back, arguing that Brooks, as an “alleged sexual assault predator,” should not be entitled to anonymity.

They emphasized the importance of a level playing field in the civil court system, stating that it should not allow “wealthy wrongdoers” to circumvent accountability for their actions.

In response to the allegations, Brooks issued a statement to DailyMail.com, strongly denying any wrongdoing.

He characterized the situation as an attempt at extortion, stating, “For the last two months, I have been hassled to no end with threats, lies, and tragic tales of what my future would be if I did not write a check for many millions of dollars.”

Brooks went on to express his trust in the legal system and his determination to clear his name. “I trust the system, I do not fear the truth, and I am not the man they have painted me to be,” he declared.

While Brooks maintains his innocence and the accuser stands firm in her allegations, the truth of the matter remains to be determined in court.

The country music community and the public at large will undoubtedly be grappling with the shocking nature of these accusations against one of the genre’s most beloved figures.
