Trump and Vance Hit With Jaw-Dropping Lawsuit as Haitian Pet-Eating Controversy Takes an Unexpected Turn

Pro-Haitian Group Takes Legal Action Against Trump and Vance for Spreading Pet-Eating ‘Misinformation’

A Haitian advocacy group has filed a lawsuit against former President Donald Trump and running mate Republican Ohio Sen. JD Vance over allegations that cats and dogs are being eaten by the immigrants.

The lawsuit was filed by the Chandra Law Firm, whose owner, Subodh Chandra, has ties to Vice President Kamala Harris.

The leader of the Haitian Bridge Alliance filed a legal complaint, using an Ohio law clause, seeking criminal charges against Trump and Vance for highlighting the crisis in Springfield, Ohio, according to WEWS-TV.

The reports of Haitian immigrants killing and eating pets and the wildlife began to spread last month, as residents shared their concerns last month. One resident said that Haitians were “grabbing ducks by their necks, killing them, and taking them away to eat” while speaking in front of the Springfeld City Commission, as TTOA reported.

Trump and Vance both shared their outrage about the allegations. During his debate with Harris earlier this month, Trump called out the reports of pets being snatched up and eaten by Haitian immigrants, a moment that has since gone viral and created several parody songs, memes and music videos.

Chandra’s firm submitted a document requesting that Vance and Trump face charges for several crimes, which include: disrupting public by generating numerous bomb threats in the city; making false alarms by making claims that have been denied by city officials; committing telecommunications harassment by repeating the allegations on social media, rallies and interviews; committing aggravated menacing in violation by deliberately making threatening statements aimed at intimidating recipients; committing aggravated menacing by intentionally instilling a false belief that members of Springfield’s Haitian community would inflict serious harm on individuals or property; and violating the prohibition against complicity by colluding and disseminating falsehoods that implicated innocent individuals in their crimes, according to WEWS-TV.

Trump Campaign Communications Director Steven Cheung said that the former president was pointing out the chaos created by Harris due to her policies allowing illegal immigrants to flow into the country.

“President Trump is rightfully highlighting the failed immigration system that Kamala Harris has overseen, bringing thousands of illegal immigrants pouring into communities like Springfield and many others across the country. President Trump will secure our border and put an end to the chaos that illegal immigration brings to our communities,” he said.

A hearing will be held in Clark County Municipal Court to establish whether there is probable cause that a crime has occurred.

WKYC reported in 2020 that Chandra hosted dinner for Harris twice for a Democratic fundraiser, one time at his home.At the time, he told the outlet that Harris is “the polyglot of all that America can be and she just represents pure positivity.”
