Major Figure Stands Up for RFK Jr.’s Wife Against Leftist Fury

Bill Maher Rips Leftists for Attacking RFK Jr.’s Wife

Leftist late-night talk show host Bill Maher has issued a scathing rebuke of his fellow Democrats for criticizing former independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s wife, Cheryl Hines.

In past weeks, the left has mounted criticism against Hines after Kennedy dropped his independent bid for president and endorsed former President Donald Trump, as TTOA previously reported.

Last week, prominent liberal actor Bradley Whitford attacked Hines for staying silent after her husband endorsed Trump on Aug. 23., Variety reported.

Whitford is known for his roles in films like “The West Wing” and “Get Out.”

“Hey Cherlyn Hines, way to stay silent while your lunatic husband throws his support behind the adjudicated rapist who brags about stripping women of their fundamental rights,” Whitford said on X.

“Gutsy. Great example for the kids. Profile in courage,” the actor added.

Maher reacted to such criticism against Hines by rebuking the political left, as reported by the Daily Wire.

“His wife is Cherlyn Hines, who Larry David was quoted as describing as ‘the best person I ever met, the one person in Hollywood who doesn’t have a single enemy,’” Maher said.

“Well now she does, because she didn’t throw her husband under the bus when her husband made a decision about something which she’s made plain she disagrees with, but that didn’t satisfy the obnoxious posers on the aforementioned far-Left,” he added.

Maher pointed out that Hines was heavily criticized for not speaking out against her husband’s decision to support Trump.

“You want to know why I have a bug up my a** about the Left more than I used to?” Maher inquired.

“It’s s**t like this. There’s an ugliness they never used to have. The Liberals I grew up respecting, none of them are like this,” he added. “Going after the wife? Even the mafia doesn’t do that.”

“There’s a lot of people these days who I call liberals in theory,” Maher continued.

“In theory, they hate bullying, terrible. In practice, their attitude is, ‘it’s not bullying when I stick your head in the toilet. In theory, liberals are compassionate. In practice, this guy can’t even understand one of the most basic dilemmas common to all humans, that when you’re married, sometimes you have to swallow some s**t,” Maher said, referring to Whitford.

In the past, Maher has not been afraid to go after his own party.

On Sept. 2, Maher blasted Vice President Kamala Harris and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) for spreading falsehoods during their first interview on CNN.

“And when Tim Walz said, ‘The American people … I talk like they do.’ No, you don’t. You’re a huge liar, like all politicians are. I don’t care, by the way. I’ve always said this about politicians. They’re all going to lie. They’re politicians,” Maher said.

“I don’t give a s**t what you did during the Iraq War. You were in the [National] Guard … I don’t understand why they can’t … You’re just insulting my intelligence when she said, ‘What did you say when Biden called you and said he wasn’t running?’ ‘Well, I immediately thought of him firs.’ No, you didn’t. Fracking. Dana Bash had her dead to rights,” Maher continued.
