Matt Walsh Rumor Chokeholds X Amid Daily Wire Controversy, the Loss of Two Beloved Hosts
A rabbi went viral on social media earlier this week for his remarks during a Senate hearing where he said it was “not enough” to be “not anti-semetic” because “one must be anti-anti-semititc.”
This prompted a response from Daily Wire host Matt Walsh who dubbed the rabbi’s comments “a page right out of the BLM playbook,” noting it was “the same rhetoric almost word for word.”

This tweet from Walsh fueled already growing speculations that he will be the next to leave the Daily Wire, following the dramatic exit of former stars Candace Owens and Brett Cooper.
One account, for example, dubbed the tweet Walsh’s “resignation letter,” insinuating the looming rumor that any comments critical of Israel or Jewish people are unofficially off-limits at the Daily Wire. Another X user quipped, “I’ve noticed [Walsh] beginning to notice lately. What talent does the Daily Wire have left if Walsh leaves?”
In other words, "Matt, please stop working for Jews." I don't know how we got here but I don't like it.

Ian Carrol posted a pointed message to Walsh: “The day you decide to leave the Daily Wire you will have an army of accounts big and small ready to support your next venture Matt.”
“We all want to see you make your own mark on the media landscape like Tucker, Candace, and Brett have,” he added.
It’s not because they’re Jews. It’s because they’re Jews with dual allegiance to a foreign state who’s dragging us into a war with Iran.

A fourth user said to Walsh, “The longer you stay with the DW, the more obvious it becomes that money is more important to you than the truth. Sad.”
Joel Berry of The Babylon Bee defended the rabbi, however, arguing, “Except BLM used the phrase very differently.”
“For them, ‘antiracism’ wasn’t about being against racism. It represented a full-blown color revolution designed to dismantle the West and institute racist DEI policies. That’s clearly not how the rabbi is using the word here, don’t you think?”
He followed up with a subsequent post that read: “To be clear, I don’t agree with his call to pass hate-speech laws. That’s wrong.”

Cooper left the Daily Wire back in December amid rumors that the host had a “disagreement” with CEO Jeremy Boreing, TTOA reported.
The organization and Owens ended their relationship in March 2024, prompting mass speculation behind the reason for the termination.
Commentators highlighted Owens’ fiery online debates with several members of the Jewish community who she claimed targeted her for being a Christian.
Lauren Chen pressed Boreing on this during an X space around the time of Owen’s departure, stating “Christ Is King” is now even being portrayed as Jew hatred by some people.
Chen highlighted past statements from Boreing acknowledging the statement “can be anti-Semitic,” then asked the CEO to comment.
Boreing retorted, “No one is saying ‘Christ Is King’ is a dog whistle per se,” but certainty “it can be.”
Andrew Klavan later confirmed that Owens was fired from the Daily Wire for her use of the phrase “Christ is King” and for receiving praise from Nick Feuntes.
TTOA reported that May footage of Klavan admitting this sparked an uproar from conservatives who had just been recently told by Boreing that these were not the reason Owens was ultimately fired.
Klavan’s recent remarks seemed to contradict those sentiments, however.

“There were things going out over our air that she was saying that were being at least perceived I have to say as deeply anti-Semetic,” Klavan said at one point of the airing.
“So that Nick Feuntes who is a virtually nazi–there’s no space between him and what nazi would be saying–was praising her to the skies,” he continued, adding, “If Nick Feuntes praises me to the skies I go out and say ‘no I am not on your side.’”
The host then described the unfolding situation resulting in Owens’ firing and his initial reaction to the situation as a whole. “It was becoming uncomfortable to be on the same station, the same venue where that stuff was coming out,” he explained.
“So without ever having any kind of personal animus toward Candace or even knowing what she intended–you know I’m not even saying that’s what, how she intended to be perceived–it simply became impossible to have a good feeling about this place I helped build,” he continued.
Klavan then admitted, “I don’t want Nick Feuntes to be praised” and “I don’t want him to have a happy day.”
