Trump’s Secret Apology to ‘Pawn Stars’ Legend Revealed: ‘I am Really Sorry’

‘Pawn Stars’ Legend Reveals Time Trump Went the Extra Mile to Apologize for Campaign Rally Blunder: ‘I am Really Sorry’

Rick Harrison of “Pawn Stars” fame has unveiled a deeply personal encounter with President Donald Trump that illuminates a rarely seen dimension of the political figure.

During a candid podcast appearance on “In Depth With Graham Bensinger,” Harrison meticulously recounted a dramatic 2018 campaign event incident that would transform his understanding of Trump’s character.

What initially promised to be a routine campaign rally quickly devolved into a potential public relations disaster that instead became a remarkable demonstration of presidential accountability.

The incident unfolded at a Nevada campaign event where Harrison had been invited to announce a congressional candidate. A seasoned television personality with decades of public exposure, Harrison arrived with his children, Jake and Serena, expecting a routine backstage experience.

He instead reportedly encountered a bureaucratic nightmare that threatened to derail the entire event.

“White House staff [goes], ‘Hey Rick, how’s it going? Come on, come this way,’” Harrison described. The situation rapidly deteriorated when Secret Service agents refused to grant him access, insisting he was not on the approved list. Despite Harrison’s attempts to contact local politicians and verify his invitation, he found himself unceremoniously pushed into the public area.

“Secret Service throws me into the public, and I am getting mobbed. And we had to leave. We could not stay there … I’m so pissed off,” Harrison candidly recalled

The moment seemed irreparable, a potential embarrassment that could have permanently soured his relationship with the Trump administration. However, what followed was an unprecedented display of personal intervention.

Shortly after being ejected, Harrison received a call from then-Sen. Dean Heller (R-NV), who connected him directly with Trump.

The president’s response was both immediate and extraordinary. “Rick, I am really sorry. This is all my fault because my White House staff, they work for me. They screwed up. That makes it my fault. I’m sorry,” Trump apparently told Harrison.

This admission stood in stark contrast to Trump’s well-documented reputation for rarely apologizing, transforming the encounter into a remarkable moment of personal accountability.

Trump didn’t stop at a simple apology. He personally invited Harrison back to the convention center and ensured a VIP multi-car Secret Service escort, effectively turning a potential public relations disaster into a demonstration of presidential responsibility.

For Harrison, a steadfast Trump supporter who endorsed the president in 2016 when such support could carry significant professional risks, this moment further cemented his respect for Trump’s leadership.

The “Pawn Stars” patriarch has consistently championed Trump’s approach to issues like illegal immigration, a stance deeply personal to him.

The loss of his son Adam to a fentanyl overdose in 2023 intensified Harrison’s political perspective, TTOA previously reported.

He publicly blamed the Biden administration for what he perceived as inadequate border control contributing to the ongoing drug epidemic.

“The fentanyl crisis in this country must be taken more seriously,” Harrison stated in 2024. “It seems it is just flowing over the borders and nothing is being done about it. We must do better.”
