MTG Destroys Reporter After Learning Personal Detail in Mic Drop Moment

MTG Delivers Brutal Takedown of British Reporter in Fiery Press Confrontation: ‘Go Back to Your Own Country’

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) delivered a sharp rebuke to a British journalist on Wednesday in an exchange that quickly went viral.

The incident unfolded when Martha Kelner from Sky News attempted to question Greene about a national security matter related to the Trump administration’s use of the messaging app Signal. Greene immediately challenged the reporter’s line of questioning by asking about her nationality; a question that swiftly garnered support from conservatives online.

Upon learning Kelner was from the United Kingdom, Greene responded forcefully: “We don’t give a crap about your opinion or your reporting. Why don’t you go back to your own country where you have a major migrant problem?”

The exchange quickly captured widespread attention online, with many conservative supporters praising Greene’s robust defense against what they perceived as foreign media interference in American political discourse. “MTG is giving everyone the business,” one X user said. “Europe has an unbelievable migrant crisis, yet they want to look down their nose at us.”

Another person said, “The UK government no longer aligns with American values and as such there is no reason to continue to prop them up with NATO or US bases.”

A third posted, “good on her, f*** UK journalists, their country is the most authoritarian shithole western country in the world currently, criticizing American issues should be ridiculed, it shows you have no room to talk about preserving western societal ideals.”

The confrontation occurs against the backdrop of an ongoing controversy dubbed “Signalgate,” which involves a group chat on the Signal messaging app that included several high-profile political figures.

Key members of the Signal group included newly appointed Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, National Security Advisor Michael Waltz, Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard.

The group was reportedly coordinating military actions targeting Houthi militants in Yemen.

Greene’s uncompromising approach has long been a hallmark of her political communication style, often drawing both criticism and support for her direct and unapologetic statements. Back in 2023, for example, the congresswoman went viral after shocking her colleagues by showing explicit Hunter Biden images at a congressional hearing.

TTOA reported that Greene took an unexpected and unorthodox approach to raising awareness of the younger Biden’s indiscretions by showcasing graphic and lewd images of the president’s son in sexually compromised positions.

“Before we begin, I would like to let the committee and everyone watching at home know that parental discretion is advised,” she said at the onset of the hearing.

Greene then proceeded to show posters—visually striking yet sensibly censored—featuring explicit images from a laptop drive, allegedly owned by Hunter Biden. Only Biden’s face was left uncensored; the identities of the others involved were hidden beneath black boxes.

Rep. Robert Garcia (D-CA) later quipped, “Today’s hearing is like most of the majority’s investigations and hearings: A lot of allegations, zero proof, no receipts — but apparently, some d*** pics.”
