‘Rick, I’m Really Sorry’: Reality TV Star Shares Significance Of A Personal Apology From President Trump

While leftist critics seek to portray President Donald Trump as an uncaring bigot, countless anecdotes from those who actually know him reveal the true nature of his behind-the-scenes persona.

For “Pawn Stars” host Rick Harrison, supporting Trump is nothing new.

But as he recently recalled, an experience from the president’s first term in office gave him a new perspective regarding what kind of person Trump is.

As Fox News reported, the encounter came in 2018 when Harrison and his son were invited backstage to meet Trump at a rally only to be turned away by Secret Service agents:

“Secret Service throws me into the public and I am getting mobbed. And we had to leave. We could not stay there. And I’m f—-ng pissed.”

Not only was Harrison slightly embarrassed, he was upset to disappoint his son, who was excited to tell his friends he was meeting the president.

“So I get a block from the house and then Senator Heller’s number pops up in my truck, and I’m like, Senator Heller knows I have no filter,” Harrison said. “So the first words out of his mouth, he’s like, ‘Rick, before you say a word, the President of the United States would like to talk to you.’”

Harrison added, “And the first words out of Trump’s mouth were, ‘Rick, I am really sorry. This is all my fault, because my White House staff, they work for me. They screwed up. That makes it my fault. I’m sorry. They should have informed the Secret Service. So, I’m sorry, will you please come back down to the convention center? We’ll try and make this happen.’

“And you’re not going to tell the president of the United States ‘no,’ right?,” Harrison said.

Harrison was among the few Hollywood stars willing to speak out in support of Trump prior to a surge in popularity for the president following Joe Biden’s disastrous term in the White House.

Here’s a sampling of his remarks over the years:

As Harrison revealed last year, the Trump family also showed compassion following the death of his son last year, per TMZ:

A rep for the “Pawn Stars” patriarch tells TMZ … Donald Jr. and Eric Trump reached out to Rick after learning of Adam’s death. We’re told the Trumps spoke to Rick on the phone to offer their condolences.

The Trump and Harrison families have a long relationship. Rick’s been a vocal supporter of the former president for years — at one point referring to himself as a “Trump guy.”

When DT was in the White House, he and Rick met in September 2018 … snapping a photo together with Rick’s youngest son, Jake.
