Chaos Erupts After Blue State Rep Explodes Over Girls’ Locker Room Allegations

‘It’s a Lie!’—Illinois Dem Explodes After Mom Says Girls Were Forced to Change with ‘Trans’ Student

A heated debate erupted in the Illinois General Assembly on Tuesday after state Rep. Bob Morgan (D) dismissed allegations that middle school girls had been forced to change in a locker room with a trans-identifying student.

The controversy began when Nicole Georgas, a Deerfield resident, addressed the local school board last week, claiming that her 13-year-old daughter had been placed in an uncomfortable situation at school. She later filed a federal civil rights complaint with the Justice Department over the incident, according to Fox News.

Her complaint quickly gained political attention, culminating in a heated exchange at the Illinois General Assembly. During the legislative session, Republican state Rep. Adam Niemerg raised Georgas’ claims, prompting a strong response from Morgan, who represents the same district.

Morgan forcefully rejected the allegations and criticized Niemerg for bringing up the issue on the House floor.

“I’m really proud of my community who stood up for those who need to be defended and protected, making sure we have great schools, which we do by the way, we have incredible, incredible schools, incredible families, an incredible community that has come together to deal with this situation. Because it’s a lie!” Morgan said.

He went on to scold Niemerg, saying, “So the next time a representative wants to talk about other districts, I understand he might be ashamed and, frankly, probably should be, but instead of standing on this floor taking our time today talking about children, try and talk about your own district.”

Georgas quickly responded to Morgan’s comments on X.

“Really @BobMorganIL Was your daughter in the locker room?” she wrote.

“Because mine was! How dare you accuse them of lying.”

“You are disgusting & despicable and I hope one day I get to play the audio for you!”

While Morgan dismissed the allegations, Georgas continued to stand by her claims, providing further details on what she says happened at the school.

She alleged that on Feb. 5, her daughter was using the girls’ restroom when she realized a trans-identifying student was present. Georgas said her daughter was “frightened” and “extremely upset” by the situation.

Days later, she claimed, her daughter and other female students refused to change for physical education class due to the presence of the trans-identifying student in the locker room. According to Georgas, school administrators then intervened, insisting the girls change into their uniforms.

“That day, [Assistant Superintendent for Student Services] Joanna Ford, [Assistant Principal] Cathy Van Treese, and multiple teachers all came into the girls’ locker room, making them change into uniform. This went on all week,” Georgas said during the school board meeting.

She added that her daughter continued to refuse.

She later took her concerns to the school’s administration, arguing that the policy allowing the trans-identifying student to use the girls’ locker room violated what she referred to as President Donald Trump’s “Keeping Men out of Women’s Sports” executive order. According to Georgas, school officials informed her that their policies followed state law and legal guidance.

In response to the allegations, Deerfield Public Schools District 109 issued a statement to Fox News, denying that students were required to change in front of others.

“District 109 is committed to providing a learning environment where all students and staff are respected and supported,” the district stated. “Our policies and procedures, including student use of locker rooms, align with state laws, the Illinois School Code, and Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) guidance.

“No student is required to change into a gym uniform for physical education class in front of others in locker rooms. All students in the middle schools have multiple options to change in a private location if they wish.”

Georgas’ complaint remains under review by the Justice Department, though it is unclear what actions, if any, may follow.
