Trump Declares Biden Pardons ‘Void, Vacant, and of no Further Force or Effect’ After Autopen Signature Bombshell
In a stunning Sunday night declaration, President Donald Trump announced he is nullifying the last-minute pardons issued by former President Joe Biden, claiming they were improperly executed using an autopen and possibly without Biden’s knowledge or consent.
“The Pardons that Sleepy Joe Biden gave to the Unselect Committee of Political Thugs and many others are hereby declared VOID, VACANT AND OF NO FURTHER FORCE OR EFFECT because of the fact that they were done by Autopen,” Trump posted on his Truth Social platform.

The controversial move specifically targets the nine members of the January 6 Committee, including former Chairman Rep. Bennie Thompson and former Rep. Liz Cheney, who all received preemptive pardons from Biden during his final hours in office.
Trump further alleged that Biden “did not know anything about them” and suggested that those involved in preparing the pardons “may have committed a crime.”
He warned committee members they are now “subject to investigation at the highest level.”
“The necessary Pardoning Documents were not explained to, or approved by, Biden. He knew nothing about them,” Trump claimed in his social media post.

Biden’s eleventh-hour pardons extended beyond the January 6 Committee members to include Dr. Anthony Fauci and former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley, both frequent targets of Trump’s criticism.
Trump previously stated that Milley “deserves to be executed” and has repeatedly criticized Fauci over COVID-19 policies, the Daily Mail highlighted.
Many conservatives had already expressed outrage over Biden’s decision to pardon Fauci, whom they blame for strict pandemic restrictions including mask mandates and vaccine requirements that resulted in job losses.
Fauci also faces accusations of lying to Congress about U.S. funding for gain-of-function research at the Wuhan laboratory in China, where many believe the coronavirus originated.
Trump’s initial reaction to the pardons came during inauguration activities when he texted NBC’s Kristen Welker that the pardons were “disgraceful” and that “Many are guilty of MAJOR CRIMES!”
JUST IN: President Trump declares Biden’s last minute pardons before leaving office are void due to the alleged use of “autopen.”

Taylor Budowich, Assistant to the President, called Biden’s pardons “the greatest attack on America’s justice system in history” and “a dangerous and unreversible erosion of American norms.”
The president’s declaration comes amid growing scrutiny over Biden’s use of an autopen during his administration, TTOA previously outlined.
The mechanical device, which has been used by presidents for decades, signs documents without requiring the individual’s physical presence.
The Oversight Project recently claimed it analyzed Biden’s signatures throughout his presidency and found that “all used the same autopen signature except for the announcement that the former President was dropping out of the race last year.” The organization shared examples from August 2022 and December 2024 showing apparently identical signatures.

Daily Mail conducted its own examination of over 25 Biden executive orders on the Federal Register’s website between 2021 and 2025 and found consistent signatures across all documents. A similar review of 25 Trump executive orders also revealed identical signatures across his administrations.
Missouri’s Republican Attorney General Andrew Bailey has called for a Justice Department investigation into whether Biden’s “cognitive decline allowed unelected staff to push through radical policy without his knowing approval.”
In a March 4 letter to the Justice Department inspector general, Bailey claimed Biden staffers “may have exploited Biden’s incapacity” to issue orders without presidential approval.

If true, these executive orders, pardons, and all other actions are unconstitutional and legally void. pic.twitter.com/pOhATRfw2j

Bailey cited claims by Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson, who said Biden did not appear to know what orders he had signed during a conversation about energy exports.
Johnson told interviewer Bari Weiss he believes the former president “genuinely did not know what he had signed,” TTOA previously reported.
The Oversight Project noted that while most of Biden’s signatures appeared to be done by autopen, they believe the pardon of Hunter Biden showed a “shaky” signature that was likely done in person.
