Rep. Tim Burchett isn’t shying away from saying what many of us feared might be true.
What has come to be known simply as the “Epstein files” — most of which have been locked away and labeled ‘classified’ — simply doesn’t exist anymore, according to Burchett.
The congressman made the comments a few days ago during an interview with Benny Johnson when he was asked point blank by Johnson: “What the hell is going on?”
Quite frankly, that would answer a lot of questions with the most simple answer regarding the continued holdup.
President Trump’s team is at the helm, so unless his own people are part of the problem… the simplest answer is that the majority of the files, and the so-called “smoking gun”, has long since been destroyed.
And he’s not the only one looking at this who has had frequent glimpses into the innerworkings of the Deep State saying that same thing — but we’ll get to that shortly.
Here’s a clip from Burchett’s interview with Benny Johnson talking about the subject:
He didn’t speak directly to the questions swirling at the moment regarding Pam Bondi’s possible involvement in the coverup.
If I’m reading his words correctly, it sounds to me as though Burchett suspects Pam Bondi’s involvement was largely a case of her underestimating the Deep State apparatus arrayed against her.
It’s possible she simply promised too big (‘big dogging it’, according to Burchett) before she could actually deliver.
The jury is still out if you ask me on what is actually happening behind the scenes, but I have no doubt the details of that ongoing fight behind the curtain will come out before long.
CIA whistleblower John Kiriakou, who actually did prison time for divulging CIA torture tactics, shared the same sentiments as Rep. Burchett.
Appearing as a frequent guest on Julian Dorey’s podcast, Kiriakou recently stated he thought the Epstein files had been buried or destroyed.
As a career ‘spook’ who should know, Kirakou adds credibility to the line of thinking that Epstein was likely a Mossad asset tasked with leveraging info from the highest levels of US leadership for Israel.
But he also posed a really good question at the beginning of the clip I’m about to share: Why would anything related to the Epstein case be classified if he was merely a human trafficker doing horrible things to his victims?
From Kirakou’s experience, the simple fact that the information is classified means that he was, in fact, an asset working at the behest of an intelligence agency.
Here’s that clip:
Rep. Anna Luna, who Republican Congressman James Comer put in charge of the task force operating to release classified secrets at the behest of the House Oversight Committee, has also been hammering the issue.
Over the last two weeks, Luna went from gently nudging Pam Bondi on the release of the Epstein files… to actually calling her out on social media.
In the early afternoon of Feb 24th, Rep. Luna posted this to her X account:
That somewhat gentle nudging from Luna was followed up later in the day, about four hours later, with a more strongly worded post.
In fact, Luna publicly called Pam Bondi out for ghosting her on the issue:
Three days later, on Feb. 27th, Luna had obviously had enough.
Along with most Americans, she realized that what we had been promised had not been delivered in the time frame specified.
It certainly seemed — and seems even now — that a group of people are working very hard to maintain the secrecy of whatever was in those files.
That’s when Rep. Luna dropped this bomb on X, making use of the caps lock a little more freely to match her disgust:
So, track this with me.
At the time, Bondi had already publicly stated that the files were on her desk — the comment that Burchett rightfully called out as probably untrue, and a big misstep for Bondi.
That is when multiple Senators, including Mike Lee and Mike Collins, began pushing Bondi on the continued delay, according to a report at the time in Newsweek:
On Thursday, February 20, Attorney General Pam Bondi indicated that files pertaining to the late sex offender Jeffery Epstein are set to be released; the fact that they are yet to be released is raising questions from Republican politicians.
At the Conservative Political Action Conference, Bondi was asked by conservative commentator Benny Johnson about when the list will be released.
Bondi said that she had been briefed on it and is not able to talk about it publicly but added that Trump’s directive will be followed.
Shortly after this, conservatives and Trump supporters cheered Bondi’s comments, and some expressed the belief that the list may be released in a matter of hours.
Now, less than a week after Bondi indicated the files would be released, Republicans are questioning why the files are not yet public. Representative Anna Paulina Luna, who recently announced that she will lead a task force focused on declassifying federal secrets, including documents related to Epstein, took to X, formerly Twitter, to question why the files are yet to be released.
So too did Representative Tim Burchett, Senator Mike Lee and Representative Mike Collins.
Fast-forward to the last few days, and Rep. Luna — to her extreme credit — is still pushing the issue.
Here’s a clip of her appearing on OAN with Matt Gaetz explaining that she is “not confident” that the release of the so-called Epstein files is actually going to happen.
She pointed to the fact that AG Pam Bondi is continuing to promise a full release of the files, and Luna is obviously hopeful she will do exactly that.
But it is very obvious in this clip that Luna is losing hope on the Epstein issue:
It seems that Rep. Burchett, not at all a newbie at this game, is a few steps ahead of Rep. Luna.
A full month ago, he appeared on Chris Cuomo’s show on News Nation, clearly not hopeful that the American people would ever learn the truth hidden in the Epstein documents.
Check out his initial one word answer to Cuomo’s question on that issue:
Even last year, Burchett was raising concerns that too many of his colleagues in Congress would be tied to the Epstein affair if the full set of files were ever made public.
According to Burchett in December, that’s the primary reason we are never likely to see those files, and the reason why every attempt to move in that direction through Congressional channels has been so far stopped in its tracks.
Burchett says that too many of his Congressional colleague are “compromised” by their association to Epstein, according to a report in Newsweek:
Representative Tim Burchett of Tennessee, a Republican, said that the flight logs of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein aren’t being publicly released because too many of his “colleagues” would be involved.
The plane was used by the billionaire pedophile to ferry young women between New York and Epstein’s Palm Beach residence, as it emerged from the case against his longtime associate Ghislaine Maxwell.
During the trial in late 2021, Lawrence Paul Visoski Jr., a former pilot for Epstein who worked for the dead pedophile for 25 years, testified that he had flown Epstein “every four days” since he was hired in 1991.
A request from Republican Senator Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee to release the flight logs of the “Lolita Express” was “snubbed” by the Senate Judiciary Committee, Burchett told Newsmax on Monday.
“Too many of my colleagues I’m afraid are compromised in this area for whatever reason,” he said. “Somebody whispered in their ear saying, ‘Hey, you don’t want something to come out on something else, you better keep your mouth shut on this. That’s exactly what they’ve done.”
“And it continues to go. Whether it’s the honeypot the Russians used to use or something worse. I don’t know, but … you see that up and down the line. You see good conservatives vote for liberal policies and, frankly, you see some liberals occasionally will vote for something else,” Burchett continued.
I’m still hopeful.
I’m hopeful that the continued momentum of President Trump’s whirlwind approach to CHANGE during his second term will continue to manifest in shocking ways.
Maybe one of those SHOCKING WAYS will be the full disclosure of all the dirty secrets being kept from the American people in order to protect the elites who harbor ambitions of holding on to their precious power — and surviving the next four years to rise again.
I don’t want them to rise again, and so we need this truth to come out!
But, I’m also a realist. And hearing Rep. Tim Burchett repeatedly take the no-nonsense approach, admitting that there is a good chance those files are already gone… unfortunately sounds very plausible.
I’m still hopeful on this issue. It’s time for the dark recesses of evil preying on Americans to be disclosed in a way that makes it less likely that it can happen again.
And I don’t care who’s behind it — the US intel agencies, CIA, Mossad, Russian honeypot agents, the Clintons… or just an evil rich guy doing evil things.
Whoever is behind it, it needs to be exposed. The American people deserve answers.
We’ve been PROMISED answers.
And one way or another… the CONTINUED COVERUP needs to end.
We are nearly 2 months in to President Trump’s second administration; nearly 2 months past the DAY ONE promises of releasing the files.
It’s time to come clean with the American people, no matter what the truth of those files is.
We’re waiting, and we want the truth.
And we want all of it, right now.
