Elon Musk Stuns America by Standing Alongside Trump With Son X in Oval Office, Vowing to Gut Highest-Paid DC Bureaucrats
In an unprecedented scene that reportedly upended White House protocol, Elon Musk and his young son X commandeered the Oval Office for more than 30 minutes Tuesday while President Donald Trump signed a controversial executive order targeting the federal workforce.
The unorthodox meeting highlighted the increasing influence of the tech billionaire in shaping government policy.
The powerful tech mogul, accompanied by his toddler, used the high-profile platform to launch pointed criticisms against federal bureaucrats and defend his organization DOGE’s aggressive scrutiny of government agencies, particularly USAID.
The spectacle of a child roaming the Oval Office while his father discussed matters of national importance marked a striking departure from traditional White House decorum.
BREAKING: President Trump & Elon Musk will now look into federal officials who end up being worth MILLIONS despite lower salaries.
Maybe we can start with all the members of Congress who somehow instantly become multi-millionaires on 200k a year.

“We do find it sort of odd that there are quite a few people in the bureaucracy who have ostensibly a salary of a few hundred thousand dollars but somehow managed to accrue tens of millions of dollars in net worth while they are in that position,” Musk declared, suggesting potential impropriety at USAID.
With characteristic sarcasm, he added, “Maybe they’re very good at investing, in which case we should take their investment advice perhaps.”
The executive order, which wasn’t publicly released during the event, reportedly mandates significant downsizing of federal agencies.
It requires departments to hire just one employee for every four who depart, representing a potentially dramatic reduction in the federal workforce, according to Semafor.
Trump, who notably chose not to sign the order in front of the assembled press corps, expressed unwavering confidence in Musk’s efforts, stating simply, “We don’t want an unsuccessful guy doing this.”
The president’s decision to cede the spotlight to Musk and his toddler highlighted the unique relationship between the two powerful figures.
Addressing mounting criticism of DOGE’s aggressive approach to government oversight, Musk quipped that he expects to receive a “daily proctology exam” in scrutiny.
The SpaceX and Tesla CEO forcefully defended his mandate, citing Trump’s electoral victory: “The public voted, a majority of the public voted for President Trump. We won the House, we won the Senate. The people voted for major government reform.”
Shoutout to Elon Musk for standing by President Trump’s side and taking a lot of heat off him 🔥

The unconventional meeting sparked immediate controversy, particularly regarding DOGE’s rapid targeting of USAID.
Daily Mail reported that Democratic lawmakers and federal workers have mounted protests, while serious concerns surfaced about Musk’s access to Treasury payment systems.
Musk acknowledged imperfections in DOGE’s execution, admitting, “We are moving fast, so we all make mistakes, but we’ll also fix the mistakes very quickly.” This concession came amid growing scrutiny of his organization’s methods and accuracy.
“I didn’t vote for Elon Musk”🥴 Well cry harder libs. We didn’t vote for this clown either, yet he controls the democrat party. The difference is Trump ran & was elected in a landslide with full transparency that Elon would be doing exactly what he’s doing. See the difference? pic.twitter.com/wg5fQhjaFP

A significant retraction occurred during the meeting when Musk walked back earlier White House claims about $50 million in condoms allegedly destined for Gaza.
“First of all, some of the things that I say will be incorrect and should be corrected. So nobody’s going to bat a thousand,” he conceded, demonstrating rare public acknowledgment of error.
Daily Mail noted that Trump had previously suggested Hamas fighters were using such condoms to create bombs, referencing past incidents where the group employed inflatable items to target Israeli farmland.
Musk questioned the broader policy of such aid, stating, “I’m not sure we should be sending $50 million in condoms anywhere, frankly, I’m not sure that’s something Americans would be really excited about.”
He added, “But you know, if it went to Mozambique instead of Gaza I’m like that’s not as bad, but why are we doing that?”
$50M of condoms is a LOT of condoms 🤷♂️
