Trump Admin Releases Video Slamming Selena Gomez for Sobbing Over Mass Deportations
The Trump administration has fired back at actress Selena Gomez after she posted a tearful video decrying the White House’s mass deportation efforts.
In response, the administration released its own video on Saturday, featuring mothers of children allegedly killed by illegal migrants.
The one-minute and 27-second clip targeted Gomez’s emotional reaction, criticizing her for weeping over the deportation of criminal migrants, per the New York Post.

Gomez, 32, shared her since-deleted video earlier in the week, expressing her distress over President Donald Trump’s immigration enforcement policies. “All my people are getting attacked, the children,” she said while crying in the footage.
“I don’t understand. I’m so sorry. I wish I could do something, but I can’t.”
The administration’s counter-video featured multiple grieving mothers challenging Gomez’s perspective.
Tammy Nobles, whose 20-year-old daughter Kayla Hamilton was allegedly murdered by an MS-13 gang member and El Salvadorian national, was among them. “You don’t know who you’re crying for,” Nobles said in the clip.
She continued, “What about our children who were brutally murdered, raped, and beaten to death by these illegal immigrants?”
Another mother, Alexis Nungaray, also appeared in the video, addressing Gomez’s emotional plea. Nungaray, whose teenage daughter Jocelyn was found dead in a Houston creek last year, questioned the sincerity of the actress’s response.
“Seeing that video, it’s hard to believe it’s genuine and real because she’s an actress,” she said.
The backlash extended beyond the administration, as many of Gomez’s own fans criticized her remarks.
Facing intense scrutiny, she deleted the video and later shared a follow-up post on Instagram, stating, “Apparently, it’s not ok to show empathy for people.”
The controversy comes as the Trump administration intensifies immigration enforcement efforts across the country.
Since the president authorized large-scale deportation raids nearly two weeks ago, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents have arrested 7,260 illegal migrants. The administration maintains that the crackdown focuses on criminals and threats to public safety.
The president’s supporters argue that the removals are necessary to protect American citizens from violent crimes committed by undocumented immigrants.
However, critics, including Gomez, believe the policies disproportionately harm families and communities.
Gomez’s reaction has reignited debate over the role of celebrities in political activism. While some praised her for speaking out, others accused her of being out of touch with the realities of illegal immigration.
The administration’s response video reflects a broader political battle over immigration enforcement.
Trump and his allies continue to emphasize law and order, while opponents highlight concerns about humanitarian issues.
As the debate rages on, Gomez’s viral moment has placed her at the center of a divisive national conversation. The impact of her video, and the administration’s forceful response, remains a subject of widespread discussion.
