MAGA Insiders ‘Laugh’ as Michelle Obama Reveals the Real Reason She’s Skipping Trump’s Inauguration

MAGA Team Enjoys ‘a Good Laugh’ as Michelle Obama Reveals the Real Reason She’s Skipping Trump’s Inauguration: ‘Didn’t Expect Her to Come Anyway’

Republican insiders are shrugging off Michelle Obama’s decision to skip Donald Trump’s upcoming inauguration, while her husband, former President Barack Obama, plans to attend the January 20th ceremony.

Sources close to the inaugural planning committee revealed they found humor in the situation.

“They are having a good laugh,” one insider told Page Six

“They didn’t expect her to come anyway.”

TTOA reported that the former first lady’s office confirmed this week that she would not attend the 60th Inaugural Ceremonies, where she would have been seated next to Trump.

This announcement follows her recent absence from former President Jimmy Carter’s funeral on January 9th, which her team attributed to an “extended vacation” in Hawaii; a pattern that has left some speculating about a looming divorce amongst the Obamas.

In a revealing report, sources close to the former first lady disclosed that her absence stems from her unwillingness to “fake a smile” for someone she views as “a threat to American democracy.”

The source, speaking on condition of anonymity, emphasized that Michelle prioritizes authenticity over ceremonial obligations.

“There’s no overstating her feelings about [Trump],” the source told People

“She’s not one to plaster on a pleasant face and pretend for protocol’s sake.”

The same source further elaborated that “Michelle doesn’t do anything because it’s expected or it’s protocol or it’s tradition.”

The Western Journal reported that the decision comes despite Obama’s widely-quoted 2016 statement, “When they go low, we go high,” which became a defining motto of her public persona.

Michelle’s history with Trump has been marked by tension.

During the Democratic National Convention, she criticized the former president, stating, “For years, Donald Trump did everything in his power to try to make people fear us. See, his limited, narrow view of the world made him feel threatened by the existence of two hard-working, highly educated, successful people who happen to be black.”

After attending Trump’s 2017 inauguration, Michelle Obama later expressed her displeasure on “The Light Podcast,” noting, “To sit on that stage and watch the opposite of what we represented on display — there was no diversity, there was no color on that stage.”

“There was no reflection of the broader sense of America.”

A Republican source suggested to Page Six that her absence is politically motivated, stating, “It’s obvious that this was her way of protesting Trump. She hates him.”

Democratic sources attempted to minimize the significance of the snub, pointing to precedent.

“Donald Trump and Melania didn’t go to Joe Biden’s inauguration and nobody cared. No one said anything,” one Democrat noted.

Other former presidents and their spouses, including George W. and Laura Bush, Bill and Hillary Clinton, and current President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden, are expected to attend the ceremony.

TTOA reported Thursday that soon-to-be First Lady Melania Trump made a striking allegation against the Obamas, claiming they withheld critical information during her and her husband’s first transition to the White House in 2017.

“The first time was challenging; we didn’t have much information,” Melania said. “The information was upheld [sic] from us by the previous administration.”

“But this time, I have everything… it’s a very different transition this time, second time around.”
