‘This Will be Entertaining’: Rob Schneider Announces New All-Ladies Talk Show That’s Like ‘The View,’ But the ‘Opposite’
Comedian Rob Schneider is back at it again with another shocker: he intends to compete with “The View.”
During an exchange on Fox News, Schneider revealed his intentions for an all-ladies talk show that he says will be the “opposite” of the day-time counterpart.
“It’ll be the opposite because this will be entertaining,” Schneider stated; a one-liner that quickly amused various users on social media platform X.
Schneider explained that his new show will air before Inauguration Day, noting that it will feature “household names” and won’t be “shaming people and making people wince.”
“The View” has been facing enormous backlash in recent months over its leftwing, Trump-hating rhetoric.
This has sparked media titans like Bill O’Reilly to predict shock changes for the show, including a drastic shakeup.
O’Reilly believes Disney will soon take control of “The View,” citing the show’s controversial direction and its impact on ABC News’ reputation.
“That’ll happen pretty soon,” the ex-Fox News host said.
He described the current atmosphere as one where “your head’s going to blow off,” compared to a more measured tone during Barbara Walters’ leadership; a claim briefly mentioned in Schneider’s interview on Fox.
This uncomfortable atmosphere, according to O’Reilly, comes despite the presence of long-standing hosts Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg.
The former Fox host criticized the show’s current hosts for operating within what he termed a “New York City emotion bubble.”
He further suggested they “believe what they want to believe” in a self-reinforcing comfort zone.
For example, an episode of the “The View” went viral last week after host Goldberg and radio personality Charlamagne tha God went head-to-head over President Joe Biden’s pardon of his son Hunter.
“Democrats stand on this moral high ground all the time, and, you know, they act so self-righteous,” Charlamagne declared at the start of the incredibly awkward moment, TTOA reported.
Schneider, for his part, has been largely outspoken against wokeness and leftist antics, specifically “The View.”
The comedian, who has gone viral on numerous occasions over the course of 2024, sat down with Tucker Carlson back in August to discuss his rollercoaster career since speaking out against major industries like big pharma.
Schneider opened up to Carlson specifically about the devastating impact his vaccine skepticism had on his once-thriving Hollywood career.
“To even question it was you destroying your career,” Schneider told Carlson, referring to the COVID-19 vaccine.
“I thought we live in the freest country in the world. Well, you’re allowed to talk about politics and you can be, you know, you used to be — and you can talk about things like that.”
Schneider eventually argued that questioning the pharmaceutical industry is akin to challenging “the underpinnings of power.”
“We’re not talking about the Mexican drug cartel that’s just a measly 10 billion dollars a year,” he revealed.
“If you’re talking about the pharmaceutical industry 300 billion dollars a year — you’re talking about power.”
