Scott Presler Leads Bold GOP Campaign to Turn New Jersey Red
Scott Presler, a prominent Republican activist known for his successful grassroots efforts, is shifting his focus towards transforming New Jersey into a red state after contributing notably to Donald Trump‘s victory in Pennsylvania during the last election cycle. Presler is spearheading a voter registration initiative through his Political Action Committee, Early Vote Action, which has assembled a dedicated team of 23 staff members actively working across New Jersey.
“New Jersey is trending to the right. There’s momentum,” Presler told The New York Post. “We have already rehired 23 staff. So whereas Republican parties in the past will pack up, go home, not renew contracts, Early Vote Action already right now, in December of 2024, has staff on the ground.”

The recent shifts in voter sentiment are noteworthy. In the 2024 presidential election, Vice President Kamala Harris secured New Jersey by only 6 points, a significant drop from Joe Biden‘s 16-point victory in 2020. This evolving political landscape has fueled Presler’s determination to mobilize support for Republican candidates statewide.
Presler’s campaign strategy involves engaging a diverse array of voter demographics, including veterans and college students. He plans to establish a presence at various community gatherings such as truck stops, gun shows, and local events to directly connect with voters. Notably, he has organized a major protest rally at an upcoming Edison city council meeting, where attendees are expected to rally against the recently overturned ban on displaying American flags.

“We will have a presence at the December 11th meeting, peacefully with beautiful American flags, and we’re going to make sure that every single person that attends also registers to vote,” Presler said, adding “thousands” of volunteers would be flocking to the state.
“You’re going to see us at New Jersey truck stops … You’re going to see us at gun shows and gun stores courting Second Amendment voters,” he continued. “You’re going to see us knocking on doors at fraternity houses and sorority houses. You’re going to see us going to American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars halls courting veteran votes. And you’re also going to see us at Wildwood Boardwalk.”
Early Vote Action is currently in a robust financial position, boasting over $2.2 million in funding, which has been bolstered by a significant recent donation from technology entrepreneur Elon Musk. This financial backing is critical for the group’s initiatives as it seeks to broaden its outreach efforts.
“I would love for Elon Musk to continue to see the work that Early Vote Action has done,” Presler told The Post. “We delivered the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, we delivered a Senate seat. We helped flip house seats from blue to red. And I would argue confidently and also very humbly that our work helped give President Trump the narrow majority in Congress.”
As the New Jersey statewide elections approach, Jack Ciattarelli, a well-known Republican gubernatorial candidate who previously ran in 2021, is expected to be a strong contender in the GOP primary against incumbent Phil Murphy. Ciattarelli nearly won his last campaign, losing by just 4 points, and attributes part of his past performance to external factors, including the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. With renewed confidence and support from grassroots activists like Presler, he aims to build on the previous election’s momentum.
Presler has expressed a commitment to unity among Republican ranks but has clarified that he will refrain from endorsing any specific candidates until after the GOP primary has concluded. His focus remains on mobilizing voters and ensuring a strong turnout for Republican candidates in the upcoming elections.
