‘Jane Doe’ Identity Revealed in Diddy Sexual Assault Case

Ex-NHL Wife Accuses Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs of Sexual Assault

Anna Kane, the ex-wife of NHL player Evander Kane, has publicly come forward as a sexual assault accuser against Sean “Diddy” Combs. Previously identified as “Jane Doe” in a lawsuit filed against Combs in December 2023, she alleges that the music mogul assaulted her at his New York City recording studio when she was a teenager.

The disclosure of her identity follows a court order requiring her to amend the lawsuit to include her name, TMZ reported. In her statement, Anna Kane expressed that the defendants attempted to intimidate her into maintaining anonymity but emphasized her commitment to moving forward with the case to seek justice.

The lawsuit names Combs, his long-time associate Harve Pierre, and a third unnamed individual, accusing them of drugging and gang-raping her when she was just 17 years old. According to Kane’s account, she met Pierre at a nightclub in Detroit, where he facilitated her introduction to Combs. After being flown to New York City, she claims that she was provided with drugs and alcohol, putting her in a compromised state where she was unable to consent to any sexual activity.

“I had hoped to use a pseudonym in pursuing justice for what happened to me as a teenager,” Kane told Page Six in a statement per her attorney Douglas Wigdor. “Defendants’ demand that I use my name was an attempt to intimidate me, but I am not intimidated. I am prepared to proceed and hold accountable those who have harmed me,” she added.

Kane details a harrowing sequence of events in her lawsuit, which includes graphic descriptions of the alleged assault at Combs’ studio. This serious allegation not only raises questions about the actions of high-profile individuals but also underlines the broader societal issues of accountability and justice in cases of sexual violence.

Combs has categorically denied the allegations, characterizing them as attempts to damage his reputation for financial gain. His response highlights his frustration with the situation, stating, “For the last couple of weeks, I have sat silently and watched people try to assassinate my character and destroy my legacy. I will fight for my name, my family, and for the truth,” he stated, according to Page Six.

Currently, Combs is in custody, having failed multiple attempts to secure bail connected to other serious charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering. This ongoing legal context adds another layer to the scrutiny surrounding his personal and professional life.

Anna Kane, who was married to Evander Kane from 2018 to 2021, has been in the public eye due to the couple’s tumultuous relationship, which ended amidst accusations of gambling addiction and misconduct against Evander. Despite these serious allegations, he was cleared in an NHL investigation related to off-ice conduct.

The lawsuit leverages the Gender-Motivated Violence Protection Law, which allows victims in New York City to pursue claims beyond the standard statute of limitations in cases of abuse. This legal framework enables further exploration into long-term assault claims, a necessary avenue for many survivors seeking redress.
