Three Chilling Words on Bullets Assassin Left as Slain CEO’s Wife Reveals Clue Behind NY Killing

Three Chilling Words on Bullets Assassin Left Behind as Slain CEO’s Wife Reveals There Were ‘Threats’ Against Husband Just Before Brazen New York Murder

A new twist has come in the story of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, who was killed in an alleged calculated ambush outside a Manhattan Hilton Hotel on Wednesday morning, as TTOA reported Tuesday.

The 50-year-old executive was gunned down in broad daylight by a masked assailant whose precise actions have raised serious questions about the motivations behind the killing.

Police told ABC News that forensic evidence adds a layer of intrigue, as detectives discovered shell casings with cryptic words – “deny,” “defend,” and “depose” – inscribed on them.

NYPD Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny highlighted the shooter’s firearm proficiency to CNN, noting his ability to quickly clear a weapon malfunction during the attack.

Surveillance footage reveals a terrifying sequence of events.

The gunman, who appeared to be an experienced marksman, waited strategically outside the hotel before Thompson’s scheduled investor meeting.

Newly appointed Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch noted that the shooter was “lying in wait for several minutes” and specifically targeted Thompson, per Daily Mail.

The attack was meticulously planned.

Witnesses stated the gunman knew exactly which door Thompson would emerge from before opening fire.

Daily Mail explained that the shooting was swift and brutal – the masked killer drew a large gun fitted with a silencer and shot Thompson in the back, hitting him in the chest and calf.

Investigators are exploring multiple potential motives, The New York Post has learned.

Thompson, who earned approximately $10 million annually, was under a Department of Justice investigation for potential antitrust violations.

United Healthcare has been the subject of activist protests, with critics alleging systematic denial of patient care.

Thompson notably seemed to have some kind of relationship with failed vice presidential candidate Tim Walz, who has been seen in at least one photograph with the healthcare CEO and remarked that the death is “horrifying news and a terrible loss for the business and health care community in Minnesota.”

Prior to the murder, Thompson’s wife, Paulette, revealed he had been receiving unspecified threats.

“Basically, I don’t know, a lack of coverage? I don’t know details. I just know that he said there were some people that had been threatening him,” she told NBC News, as outlined by the Post.

The shooter fled on an electric bike into Central Park after the shooting.

Multiple outlets reported that authorities are actively searching for the unknown assailant.

Potential evidence includes a phone and water bottle found near the crime scene, which could provide crucial DNA and fingerprint information.

Thompson’s death has left his family devastated.

“We are shattered to hear about the senseless killing of our beloved Brian,” his wife said, per Daily Mail.

He is survived by his wife and two children, residing in their $1.5 million Minnesota home.

When Thompson’s wife learned that the slaying was being clarified as a “targeted attack,” she responded by saying, “I can’t really give a thoughtful response right now. I just found this out and I’m trying to console my children.”

The Post noted that the investor conference Thompson was scheduled to speak at continued briefly, with one attendee unknowingly announcing that “someone got shot outside” before United Healthgroup CEO Andrew Witty halted the meeting.

“I’m afraid that we – some of you may know we’re dealing with very serious medical situation with one of our team members. And as a result, I’m afraid we’re going to have to bring to a close the event today, which I’m sure you’ll understand,” Witty told CNBC.
