Trump-Taylor Swift News Shakes up X

Trump Surpasses Taylor Swift in X Followers to Become Eighth Most Followed Account in the World

In a stunning social media milestone, President-elect Donald Trump has overtaken pop superstar Taylor Swift in X followers.

He now positions himself as the 8th most followed account globally as he rapidly approaches 95 million followers.

Trump’s return to the digital platform marks a significant comeback after his 2021 suspension following the 2020 presidential election.

His reemergence strategically coincides with the 2024 presidential election campaign, providing a direct communication channel to American voters.

The Post Millennial reported that the Trump campaign emphasized the significance of unfiltered communication, stating, “President Trump will do everything he can to bring his unscripted message directly to the people, something the fake news media refuses to do.”

Swift, who went viral earlier this year after publicly endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris, shared her electoral perspective on Instagram

In a detailed post that Elon Musk dubbed “messed up,” Swift announced her support for Harris and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, citing Harris’s leadership and commitment to various social causes.

“I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election,” Swift wrote.

She praised Harris as a “steady-handed, gifted leader” and expressed her belief that the country would benefit from “calm and not chaos.”

The pop star also addressed concerns about potential misinformation, specifically referencing AI-generated content falsely depicting her endorsing Trump.

TTOA previously reported that Trump posted content on his Truth Social account that showcased apparent support from Swift and her dedicated fanbase.

One Ai-generated image was posted alongside the bold caption, “Taylor Swift Wants You To Vote For Donald Trump.”

The then-Republican presidential candidate added his own commentary above the image, stating simply, “I accept!”

Swift emphasized the importance of voter research and transparency in her endorsement post.

“I’ve done my research, and I’ve made my choice,” Swift concluded, encouraging voters to conduct their own investigations and highlighting the importance of voter registration.

Swift infamously signed off by calling herself a “childless cat lady;” a feature that was likely a jab at Republican rhetoric.

The endorsement followed a heated ABC debate where Trump made various statements about illegal immigrants and abortion.

Earlier this year, Candance Owens proclaimed that Swift is “totally insane,” dubbing her the “most toxic fenisist that’s ever existed.”
