Things Get Ugly After Trump Voter Asked to Remove Cap

Mayhem as Trump Voter Brawls With Polling Staff After Refusing to Remove MAGA-Themed Cap

A routine day of voting in South Carolina turned chaotic when a defiant voter unleashed a profanity-laden tirade at poll workers who asked him to remove his politically-themed hat, sparking a physical confrontation that required multiple staff interventions.

The incident, which occurred at the Orangeburg County Library polling location, began when staff members informed the unidentified man that his “Let’s Go Brandon” cap violated state election laws.

The confrontation quickly escalated as the voter became increasingly hostile, Daily Mail outlined.

Captured on video, the man can be seen aggressively waving the hat in a female poll worker’s face while shouting, “This is my motherf****** right.”

The situation deteriorated further when he pointed his finger in a worker’s face, prompting her to defensively swat it away while backing up and warning, “Don’t do that.”

As tensions mounted, three female poll workers formed a human barrier between the aggressive voter and their colleague, physically pushing him back as he repeatedly attempted to pursue the worker who had deflected his hand.

Multiple staff members can be heard pleading to “take him outside” as they struggled to contain the situation.

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division has launched an investigation into the altercation, according to WIS10

The Orangeburg County Department of Public Safety responded to the scene, though it remains unclear whether any arrests were made.

This incident highlights the broader enforcement of South Carolina’s strict polling place dress code, which prohibits voters from wearing any items displaying political parties, candidates or ballot issues.

The law empowers poll managers to maintain a 500-foot politics-free zone around voting locations and authorizes law enforcement to remove any violating materials.

Daily Mail noted that the confrontation mirrors a recent incident in Texas, where voter Jesse Lutzenberger faces felony charges after allegedly punching a 69-year-old poll worker who requested he remove his MAGA hat.

Lutzenberger initially complied but later redonned the cap, according to the arrest affidavit, leading to an altercation where he reportedly struck the elderly clerk multiple times in the face.

The phrase “Let’s Go Brandon,” which appeared on the South Carolina voter’s cap, gained prominence as a coded criticism of President Joe Biden, particularly among conservative circles.

The slogan achieved such widespread recognition that South Carolina Republican Jeff Duncan wore it on a face mask at the Capitol in 2021, Daily Mail noted.

These incidents occur against the backdrop of heightened political tensions, with recent polling indicating significant voter anxiety about the upcoming 2024 election.

According to AP-NORC data, outlined by Daily Mail, approximately 70 percent of Americans report feeling anxious or frustrated about the presidential campaign, with particularly elevated anxiety levels among Democratic voters.
