Elon Drops Three Words for JD Vance After Joe Rogan Observation

Elon Musk Calls JD Vance a ‘Good, Smart Man’ After Joe Rogan Praises Him for the ‘Intelligent’ Way He Talks

A major Democratic donor’s inflammatory social media post has intensified the controversy surrounding President Joe Biden’s recent characterization of Trump supporters, forcing Vice President Kamala Harris’s campaign into damage control mode.

Trump’s running mate J.D. Vance has come out swinging in defense of Republicans, speaking in his typical cool and elegant way; a skillset that even Elon Musk has felt compelled to offer praise for, dubbing the potential vice president a “good, smart man.”

Musk went as far as to call Vance “a great human being” as well, responding to a subsequent post about Joe Rogan being impressed by the way Trump’s running mate talks.

“I really like the way JD Vance talks. It’s not screamy. He’s very smooth and coordinated and a very intelligent guy,” Rogan said.

One X user added, “I’ll admit that I didn’t love the JD Vance VP pick at first but he has far exceeded my expectations.”

“His debate against Tim Walz might actually be the most impressive performance that I’ve ever seen.”

Vinod Khosla, the billionaire co-founder of Sun Microsystems and significant Harris campaign contributor, drew sharp criticism Wednesday after declaring on X that “Garbage is an understatement for MAGA extremists.”

His statement amplified the growing tension surrounding Biden’s controversial remarks during a Tuesday night Zoom call with Voto Latino.

Vance swiftly responded: “One of Kamala Harris’s biggest donors is doubling down on calling half the country ‘garbage.’”

Vance then posed an important question for veep Harris: “Will Kamala and her campaign return his contributions? Or will they continue to insult half of the country for the sin of thinking Kamala Harris isn’t good at her job?”

The spotlighted incident began when Biden, while endorsing Harris’s presidential bid, responded to comedian Tony Hinchcliffe’s performance at Donald Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally.

Hinchcliffe had referred to Puerto Rico as “a floating island of garbage” during his routine, prompting Biden to fire back, “The only garbage I see floating out there are his supporters.”

Vance seized on the controversy, challenging Harris and her campaign to return substantial donations from Khosla, who has emerged as one of her most generous supporters.

Fox News reported that financial records reveal Khosla’s significant investment in Harris’s political future, including a $413,000 donation to the Harris Action Fund in June.

This follows his earlier $100,000 contribution to the PAC in June 2023, plus two separate $3,300 donations to Biden’s presidential campaign, which Harris inherited after Biden’s exit from the race.

The escalating situation forced both Harris and Biden to attempt damage control.

Harris distanced herself from the controversy, stating, “I strongly disagree with any criticism of people based on who they vote for.”

Meanwhile, Biden took to X to clarify his initial remarks, claiming they were specifically targeted at Hinchcliffe’s comments about Puerto Rico rather than Trump supporters in general.

“Earlier today I referred to the hateful rhetoric about Puerto Rico spewed by Trump’s supporter at his Madison Square Garden rally as garbage—which is the only word I can think of to describe it,” Biden posted.

“His demonization of Latinos is unconscionable. That’s all I meant to say. The comments at that rally don’t reflect who we are as a nation.”

The controversy highlights the increasingly volatile nature of campaign rhetoric as the presidential race intensifies.

With Harris now leading the Democratic ticket, her campaign faces mounting pressure to address both her supporters’ statements and maintain party unity while appealing to moderate voters.
