McDonald’s Drops Bombshell on Presidential Candidate Following Trump’s ‘Staged’ Work Shift

McDonald’s Reports Having No Record of Harris Ever Working for Company as Liberals Whine Over Trump’s ‘Staged’ Work Shift

McDonald’s Corporation has officially addressed Vice President Kamala Harris’ long-standing claim of working at one of their restaurants during her college years, revealing they cannot verify her employment history from the 1980s.

The fast-food giant distributed an internal memo to its USA franchisees, acknowledging that while Harris maintains “fond memories” of working at an Alameda County location, neither the corporation nor its franchisees possess employment records from that era.

Daily Mail reported that the Wall Street Journal confirmed the authenticity of this internal communication after it was initially leaked on social media by an anonymous franchise owner.

The controversy stems from Harris’ public statements, including a 2019 rally with fast food workers and a recent April 2024 appearance on the Drew Barrymore show, where she specifically claimed she “did fries” at McDonald’s.

Her campaign has specified that she worked at the Central Avenue location in Alameda, California, during the summer of 1983, following her freshman year at Howard University.

However, attempts to substantiate this claim have hit roadblocks.

Daily Mail highlighted that the campaign has been unable to produce any tangible evidence, such as photographs, pay stubs, or corroborating testimony from former coworkers.

When contacted by reporters, current employees at the Alameda franchise location have reportedly been instructed not to discuss Harris’s alleged employment history.

“I’m sorry, I don’t have any information,” stated one employee when contacted about Harris’s claimed employment at the location.

Adding to the scrutiny, investigations have revealed that Harris never mentioned her McDonald’s employment until her 2019 presidential campaign, when she participated in protests supporting minimum wage increases.

The Washington Free Beacon reported that her post-college job resume contains no reference to McDonald’s employment.

The controversy has drawn attention from political opponents, including former President Donald Trump, who recently staged a photo opportunity at a Pennsylvania McDonald’s.

Donning an apron and preparing french fries, Trump quipped to reporters and customers, “I’ve now worked for 15 minutes more than Kamala at McDonald’s.”

McDonald’s has maintained a neutral stance, stating in their memo that they “do not endorse candidates for elected office” and explaining that Trump’s visit was permitted due to their “core values” of opening their doors to everyone.

When confronted by reporters about her alleged McDonald’s employment on Monday, Harris tersely responded, “Did I? Yes, I did.”

However, as Daily Mail would note, her campaign has not provided additional evidence to support this claim.

On Monday, Harris running mate Tim Walz launched into an unexpected critique of Trump’s recent campaign stop at McDonald’s, sparking controversy and raising questions about his own campaign’s messaging strategy.

Walz took aim at Trump’s appearance where the former president donned a McDonald’s uniform and served french fries to customers.

“Vice President Harris and I grew up middle-class. We understand [the struggle],” Walz declared on the daytime talk show.

“She actually worked at a McDonald’s. She didn’t go and pander and disrespect McDonald’s workers by standing there in your tie and take a picture.”
