Michelle Obama Makes Audacious Request Before Hitting the Campaign Trail

Michelle Obama Requests More Security Before Hitting the Campaign Trail

Following the assassination attempts on former President Donald Trump, former First Lady Michelle Obama is allegedly avoiding public appearances out of security concerns.

While she has worked behind the scenes for the Harris campaign, Michelle has not publicly spoken out since the Democratic National Convention, as Election Day nears.

A source close to the Obamas told NBC News that she needs more security in order to hit the campaign trail, noting the increased security for Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris.

“After the two assassination attempts against former President Trump, the staffs of all the former presidents and first ladies recognized the new reality and so does the Secret Service,” the source told the outlet.

The source also noted that the assassination attempts on Trump are “a wake-up call to everyone” to reconsider security levels “in light of the new reality.”

As a result of the assassination attempts, both Trump and Harris are receiving more security measures, which include bulletproof glass and more Secret Service agents.

Michelle is expected to return to the campaign trail during the “closing arguments,” five sources told NBC News. stating that by the time voters head to the polls on Nov. 5, she will “have made her voice heard.”

Citing her concerns, Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said that keeping the Obama’s safe was a “top priority.”

“While we are not able to comment on the specifics of our protective operations, safeguarding former President and Mrs. Obama is a top priority for the Secret Service,” he said.

Michelle Obama’s office and the Harris campaign both failed to comment on the matter.

While Michelle has been absent from the campaign trail, former President Barack Obama has been in full swing, trying to get voters to back Harris. Recently, his recent attempts have backfired.

Obama received massive criticism after scolding black male voters that they needed to go out and support Harris, as TTOA previously reported.

Former President Bill Clinton has also been on the campaign trail, though many have pointed out that he may have done more harm than good when he blamed failed policies for the death of Laken Riley, stating that the tragedy would not have taken place if illegal immigrants were “properly vetted.”

Like Michelle, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is also set out to lend a helping hand to the Harris campaign, according to the Post Millennial. She is scheduled to hit the campaign trail two weeks before the election.
