Elon Musk Throws Shade at Google With Controversial Seven-Word Statement

Elon Musk Claims Google is Run by ‘Far Left Activists’

Elon Musk had some choice words about Google. In an X post on Thursday, Musk said that “Google is controlled by far left activists.”

Musk reshared a post showing Google’s bias towards former President Donald Trump. When typing “trump’s latest podcast” into the search engine, the top results all came back negative, showing Trump in a negative light.

The search was based on a podcast Trump did on Andrew Schulz’s podcast Wednesday, which had his supporters suggesting that he is the “funniest president in American history,” as TTOA reported earlier.

Other users also complained on Thursday about the tech giant after they conducted the same search to see what results would come up.

Many X users have called the search results propaganda and have demanded that Google be charged for trying to sway the 2024 presidential election.

Musk has had no issues criticizing the company. The billionaire also called out Google for censorship after the first assassination attempt on Trump.

In a video he reshared, it shows someone typing in “donald trump,” with all of the search results displaying information on Vice President Kamala Harris.

The only information on Trump it displayed was that he was the 45th president of the U.S.

Other users shared their results when trying to search for information on Trump’s first assassination attempt. All of the results indicated that there was no such attempt on his life, immediately substituting former President Ronald Reagan’s name.

Many social media users, including Donald Trump, Jr., slammed Google for suppressing information about the assassination attempt.

After receiving backlash from millions of users, Google posted a statement on X in late July, explaining what happened with its Autocomplete feature and what the company was doing to fix the issue.

Google claimed that the mishap was not intentional.

Trump, however, disagrees with the company. In a Truth Social post a few weeks ago, he wrote that he would prosecute Google if he wins in November, citing it’s “illegal activity.”

As the election draws closer, many have questioned the integrity of not only Google but tech giants like Meta as well, who have also been caught suppressing information about Trump.

Tim Harper, the Senior Policy Analyst of Democracy and Elections at the Center for Democracy and Technology, told PolitiFact that purposefully filtering information to make one political candidate look better than the other could result in “political blowback,” which could damage businesses.
