If You Don’t Vote This Will Be The Last Election, Says Elon Musk
Donald Trump rallied in Butler, Pennsylvania for the first time since the July 13 assassination attempt.
This time tough, Trump spoke from behind bulletproof glass in front of thousands of attendees.
Trump took the stage around 6 p.m. and thanked the entire Butler community, Secret Service, law enforcement, and the first responders who helped him after the bullet grazed his ear several months ago. He paid his respects with a moment of silence to Corey Comperatore, the man who was killed on July 13. Opera singer Christopher Macchio sang Ave Maria during the moment while Trump looked on the crowd, “states Wired.
When Elon Musk took the stage, he asked a somber question to the crowd.
“Who do you want representing this country?”
Musk went on to say that the Nov. 5 election “is no ordinary election” and that this is a “must win situation” for Trump and Republicans.
“President Trump must win to preserve the Constitution. He must win to preserve democracy in America.” Elon said. “Get everyone you know and drag them to register to vote. If they don’t, this will be the last election.”
Musk continued: “The true test of someone’s character is how they behave under fire, and we had one president who couldn’t climb a flight of stairs and another who was fist pumping after getting shot,” reported Politico.
Since endorsing Trump on July 13, Elon Musk has made an significant positive impact for Trump and his presidential campaign. He has backed Save America PAC, a conservative group that supports Trump, as well as backed Trump’s vice presidential pick, JD Vance, reports The Hill. Musk initially said he would donate $45 million per month to the PAC, but changed his tune, per Wired.
When Musk shouted, “Fight! Fight! Fight! Vote! Vote! Vote!,” the crowd cheered.
After Musk finished speaking, Trump resumed his speech in front of thousands.
Trump said to the crowd, “Over the past eight years, those who want to stop us from achieving this future have slandered me, impeached me, indicted me, tried to throw me off the ballot, and who knows? Maybe even try to kill me. Twelve weeks ago, we all took a bullet for America.”
Trump continued, “Exactly 12 weeks ago this evening, on this very ground, a cold-blooded assassin aimed to silence me and to silence the greatest movement, MAGA, in the history of our country. MAGA. We love MAGA,” reports Washington Post.
Trump went over the details of the assassination attempt and praised “the hand of providence and the grace of God” for protecting him that day. He then thanked the Secret Service members “who threw their bodies on top of mine” and thanked the sniper for taking assassin Thomas Crooks out.
Lara Trump, who spoke before Trump got on stage, said, “If you had any question whether God exists and He performs miracles, we got our answer here on July 13th, right here in Butler, Pennsylvania. He spared Donald Trump’s life because He was not finished with Donald Trump,” states Washington Post.
Attending Trump’s rally were members of Comperatore’s family and the first responders from the July rally, AP News states.
The rally also drew thousands along with Trump’s vice presidential candidate, JD Vance, Elon Musk, and singer Lee Greenwood reports Washington Post.
