Harris Faces Conservative Mockery Over Blunder That Aids Trump Campaign

Harris Mocked by Conservatives After Telling Americans to Forget About ‘Failed Policies’

Vice President Kamala Harris had social media buzzing after urging Americans to forget about the “failed policies” that have been proven to not work on Wednesday.

Speaking about public policy at The Economic Club of Pittsburgh, Harris focused on her “middle-class upbringing” and promised to create a “stronger middle class” by implementing policies such as expanding the tax incentive for new small businesses and offering a $25,000 credit to first-time homebuyers.

“When the middle class is strong. America is strong,” said Harris. “And we can build a stronger middle class,” said Harris, per Fox News.

“The American economy– is the most powerful force for innovation and wealth creation in human history. We just need to move past the failed policies that we have proven don’t work. And like generations before us, let us be inspired by what is possible.”

It didn’t take long for conservatives to point out the irony in her statement about moving past “failed policies” since she is the vice president of the current administration.

“Kamala Harris says we need to move past the failed policies that don’t work. She’s telling to to vote for Trump. Listen to her,” Seth Dillon, the CEO of the satirical news website Babylon Bee, wrote.

“You’re right. The American people are sick and tired of the Harris-Biden Administration’s failed policies. November can’t come soon enough!” wrote Rep. Troy E. Nehls (R-TX).

“I never thought it would happen, but I actually agree with Kamala on this one,” political commentator The FJC wrote.

One X user wrote, “This woman is so arrogant. She thinks she doesn’t need to answer for her failures? NICE TRY!”

“What makes you think she’ll do better when she’s president? America doesn’t have the capacity to mess up even more,” wrote another user.

“And the ads continue to write themselves. Pretty soon, Trump will need to put Kamala Harris and Tim Walz on the payroll. No one campaigns better for Trump than they do,” another user wrote.

To make matters worse for the vice president, President Joe Biden said that she was responsible for the “failed policies” she was highlighting during his appearance on “The View.”

Polls show that voters trust Trump more than Harris on economic matters, which may explain her recent shift toward prioritizing economic issues. An NBC News poll conducted between Sept. 13 and 17 showed Trump leading Harris by nine points in regards to the economy, 50 percent to 41 percent, according to Newsweek.

A recent poll conducted by CNN showed similar results, with Trump receiving 50 percent and Harris receiving 39 percent in relation to the economy.

Americans have shared their frustrations with the Biden-Harris administration over inflation, as the price of essentials such as food, housing and gas continues to increase.
