Dem Drops Chilling Claim About Trump Shooting ‘Truth’

See It: Dem Says Americans Will be ‘Shocked, Astonished and Appalled’ When Trump Shooting ‘Truth’ Comes Out

Democrat Sen. Richard Blumenthal just dropped a surprising bombshell about the near-assassination of Donald Trump.

He told reporters that the American people will likely be “shocked, astonished and appalled” when the “failures” of the Secret Service surrounding that harrowing event come to light.

He added: “I think they also ought to be appalled and astonished by the failure of the Department of Homeland Security.”

“We are going to insist on the truth–and the whole truth” coming out, Blumenthal said.

The Sen., however, refused to go into any more detail when asked by a reporter about what Blumenthal has since learned about the assassination attempt.

“I am giving you my reaction,” Blumenthal continued, “and we will have a report very, very soon.”

Some X users remained skeptical of Blumenthal’s comments on Thursday, however.

“While I’m glad he is saying something, this guy is so filthy. I gotta wonder what his angle is, because I seriously doubt it is genuine concern,” one user said, to which another responded, “I think they’re reading the polls, and trying to make nice.”

“It’s clear Trump will be trying to settle some scores once in office. I would expect that.”

A different user questioned, “The same people who spent years pushing lies about Trump are now pretending to care about an assassination attempt on him?”

“Does that make sense? This sudden concern isn’t about protecting Trump—it’s about controlling the narrative,” they added.

Tuesday’s presidential debate hosted by ABC News has sparked intense criticism after moderators David Muir and Linsey Davis seemingly brushed off President Donald Trump’s mention of an alleged assassination attempt.

The incident has ignited a firestorm of controversy, raising questions about media bias and the handling of sensitive political topics.

During a heated exchange about the January 6 Capitol riots, Trump unexpectedly brought up the shooting incident at one of his Pennsylvania rallies.

“I probably took a bullet to the head because of the things that [Democrats] say about me,” Trump claimed, adding, “They talk about democracy. I’m a threat to democracy. They’re the threat to democracy.”

Rather than pursuing this explosive allegation, Muir swiftly interrupted Trump, stating, “We have a lot to get to,” before changing the subject.

This abrupt transition has led to widespread backlash from viewers and political commentators alike.

Kylee Griswold, editorial director at The Federalist, lambasted the moderators in a scathing essay.

She questioned why Vice President Kamala Harris wasn’t asked about the potential impact of Democratic rhetoric on the alleged assassination attempt.

Griswold wrote, “Imagine refusing to ask the current vice president whether she regrets any of her hateful anti-Trump rhetoric and the Biden administration’s weaponization of the federal government against Trump that may have inspired an armed nutbag to fire at his head.”

Social media erupted with criticism of the moderators’ handling of the situation.

One X user noted, “One of the funniest moments is the debate is when Trump wanted to talk about the assassination attempt and the moderators just muted him.”

The controversy has extended beyond the assassination claim, with Muir and Davis facing accusations of bias in their fact-checking approach.

Critics argue that while Trump was repeatedly fact-checked on issues ranging from abortion to the January 6 riots, Harris’ statements on fracking, the economy and Afghanistan went unchallenged.
