Mother of Georgia Shooting Suspect Had Warned School of ‘Extreme Emergency’
The mother of the Georgia school shooter suspect, who is facing murder charges after killing two students and two teachers in Apalachee County, has come out and said that she had called the Georgia high school moments before the shooting to report an “extreme emergency” regarding her son.

TTOA previously reported that a relative of the 14-year-old shooter Colt Gray has begun distancing himself from the teen’s family amid reports that he was raised in a broken household.
While speaking to the Washington Post, Annie Brown, whose sister is Gray’s mother, said her sister had spoken with a school counselor and urged them to find her son “immediately” moments before the shooting took place.
Brown provided pictures of the texts between her and her sister to the Post, which indicated that Gray’s family had called the school about 30 minutes before tragedy struck.
Brown said Colt “was begging for help from everybody around him,” adding, “The adults around him failed him.”
The 14-year-old is now facing murder charges. His father, Colin Gray, is facing accusations of second-degree murder for giving his son an AR-15-style rifle, per Yahoo News.
Colin and Colt’s attorneys refused to seek bail during the pair’s first court appearance on Friday.
Last year, Colin spoke with a sheriff’s investigator, revealing that his teen son had a difficult time dealing with his parents’ divorce and bullying in school.
“I don’t know anything about him saying (expletive) like that,” Colin told Jackson County sheriff’s investigator Daniel Miller. “I’m going to be mad as hell if he did, and then all the guns will go away.”
In May 2023, Colin told the investigator that his son frequently dealt with bullies at middle school.
“He gets flustered and under pressure. He doesn’t really think straight,” Colin said at the time.
Colin also recounted the first time his son went deer hunting, proudly telling the investigator that his son had blood on his face from the dead deer.
“It was just the greatest day ever,” Colin said.
The investigator’s report did not disclose whether Colt had an AR-15-style firearm. The father admitted, however, that his 14-year-old son always had access to his guns, but said he taught him the seriousness of weapons and how to safely deal with them.
“He knows the seriousness of weapons and what they can do,” Colin said, adding that his son knows “how to use them and not use them.”
Shortly after being evicted in 2023, Colin and Colt’s mother got divorced.
The teen “struggled at first with the separation and all,” Colin said.
“I’m the sole provider, doing high rises downtown,” he added.
The father said bullies “just ridiculed” Colt “day after day after day.”
“I don’t want him to right anybody, but they just keep like pinching him and touching him,” the father told the investigator. “Words are one thing, but you start touching him and that’s a whole different deal. And it’s just escalated to the point where like his finals were last week and that was the last thing on his mind.”
Colt denied posting a threat on Discord against the high school that he reportedly shot up, claiming his account was hacked.
“The only thing I have is TikTok, but I just go on there and watch videos,” Colt said.
the parents of the teenager should have personality tooken him to the the police department to turn him in .
He needed mental help! He was crying out for help for God’s sake! He said the adults had failed him and they had. They were only thinking of themselves during this rough time and divorce but, kids hurt too so you need to let them know it’s okay to let their feelings be known and they are valid and they matter. Get them help! I’m not against guns but don’t give one to a kid that you know is hurting and being bullied and you as parents are not doing anything to help him. So either way you are wrong! But he should have also been investigated further the first time!
